Did you book the September 7 flight or the September 19 flight?

I just checked on spanair.com. I tried both my Orbitz code & my Travelocity code. The Orbitz code came up with nothing, but my Travelocity code brings up my itinerary. Maybe this will actually work!

JTFrogger: Did you happen to book Sep 20 to 27 by chance?

I just talked with a friend who booked 2 dates, one departed on Sep 20 and one departed on Sep 21.

His Sep 20 departure got cancelled, so he called Orbitz, and they explained that the Sep 20 flight really was full, but that his Sep 21 departure is fine, real, and valid (this is what they say anyways).

EDIT: NM I see you booked 7th-14th. This thread is going too fast

Yeah, no kidding. I have consecutive posts because there are more posts added from the time that I started my post and it was done.

I would take a different date if I can get it at that price. I'm not too picky. I wonder if the flight on the 7th is super full because that is the only one you told us about to begin with. Seriously, you drove a lot of traffic there.

Yeah it could very well be. That's why I was holding off on revealing the dates that I was booking myself. I could only hold off for a short while though, too good a deal to keep to myself.

From someone else...

I just bought, awaiting confirmation via email. I bought on Travelocity.ca a Calgary-Menorca then Madrid-Calgary return. This came to a whopping $107CDN including taxes. Had I also returned from Menorca it'd come to $117 or something like that.

At the bottom of the confirmation page there is the disclamer, could this be enough to get out of the tickets?

Yeah this scares me too. I take some comfort in the fact that not ALL of our tickets have been cancelled.

Hey, that's promising! I checked my spanair confirmation code and it works... I'm a little bummed that I didn't get the cheaper travelocity fare but I won't complain too loudly

Just an FYI, I booked for 2 weeks, Sept. 7 - 21 could this be why I haven't received any cancellation notification? Perhaps it is the flight back to Calgary that is full on the 14th?

I'm on the phone with Travelocity right now. My tickets didn't go through. Apparently his system is saying that my credit card was not accepted. He said to try through travelocity.com and it might work. He said that someone else called earlier with the same issue and it worked through .com. So, I am on hold now to see if this will work.

So, I just got off the phone, and apparently my ticket has been issued. This sounds a lot more promising than before, since he gave me a confirmed ticket number. Hopefully this doesn't fall through in the next few hours.

Just got off the phone with Orbitz, tickets have been issued! Seems legit now!
