I get the Stamps way and all these teams have big holes to fill (bombers are no exception, they built their team through CFL free agency too) and will still have them even after free agency. If Stamps added like 3-4 of these players guys they pretty much would have no vacant starting jobs come training camp.
Need to add a WR and couple DBs. My wish list is bring back Lemon, add Derell Walker, and couple DBs like Kelly, Shaq Richardson...This shouldn't break the bank. Or also bring back Sankey if you want to break the bank.

Another guy out there is Shaq Richardson (former Stamp) who is a versatile defender in that he can play both as a linebacker and in the secondary.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American running back James Butler to a two-year contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
The five-foot-nine, 210-pound ball carrier recorded 210 carries for 1,060 yards and seven touchdowns this past season as a member of the B.C. Lions. He also caught 53 passes for 384 yards and four touchdowns.

I can see players going the XFL route, and then coming back to the CFL in June if things fall flat (or to make some extra cash).

Just looked it up and its 59K per season and 1k bonus for a win with additional up to 20K in benefits including meals and housing.
Guys could double dip but that's a lot of football to put your body through playing both leagues.
