Matthews to ARI is wishful thinking for fans that hate the Leafs IMO. Nobody wants to play there with the circus around that org so I don't see any way Matthews signs there. If the Leafs remain a contender, given he loves the city of Toronto, I won't be surprised that he extends there. If the Leafs continue their current poor play over the next year, he'll probably explore other contenders but then they'll likely be capped out.

TSN discusses the Canadiens looking to trade some of their veteran forwards

People are going to hate this, but didn't Huberdeau play well with Hoffman in Florida?

Leafs have placed Aube-Kubel on waivers.

Had 22 points and won a cup last year on the Avs.

Kylington for Duclair. Duke plays well with Huby and brings tons of speed and Florida needs a defenseman (plus saves them 500k cap space)

Who says no?

Both teams. Neither guy is playing any time soon.

Duclair is expected to be back in December at least. Kylington about the same, no?

The Flames haven't said a word about Kylington since Brad said he's away for personal reasons and don't ask until he's back.

Just a feeling but my gut is telling me Kylington is not coming back to the NHL. I hope that feeling is wrong.

Do you have any legitimate reason to feel this way, or is this just another of your wildly inaccurate assertions about what a player is thinking?

Such a strange situation with Kylington. Hope he's ok.

Looks like my bet with Mr.Coffee that the Habs won't be within single digits of a playoff spot is going well

He's confused. It's the spicy burrito he had at lunch.

Didn't the team say Kylington was the top priority for the team right now?
I don't think it would be this important to them if they didn't think he was going to come back.

True, but to play devil's advocate, would the team have come out and said "Dude's got issues, f him!".

But Treliving brought up Kylington without being prompted. I believe someone asked him if they were trying to get more options upfront, then Treliving said Kylington was the priority. Then that.

Healthy or not, just say no to Duclair. He would never be productive on a Sutter team, as he would be expected to show something defensively. He's a bit like Milano-so one-dimensional that he could never produce AND play responsible hockey.
