Haha right? Trudeau is widely known across the world as the liberal ####. I'm ashamed to live in the same country as Trudeau.
That's why in 2023, I'm once again gathering funds (bitcoin only) for a march to the Whitehouse to once and for all rid ourselves of TRUDOPE. Like and subscribe because the GoFundMe page will be coming soon.

Our world standing would instantly improve - no, we would be revered - if Angry Milhouse Pierre was our Prime Minister, what with knowing how the Liberals have caused global inflation, felates the Bitcoin house of cards, shakes hands with extremists/criminals and roots for right-wing yahoos to hold the national capital hostage.
Trudeau is just a rock-bottom representative. The worst.

Alberta the place is beautiful, and 99,9% of global denizens you ever encounter will likely have no fataing clue where it is at all. Even americans mostly don't know where it is, and can be somewhat surprised that there's anything at all north of Montana.
So, no reason to fear telling people you're from here.
Totally fine to be embarrassed about Danielle Smith, but fortunately we will only have to bear that embarrassment for a limited time.

Most people outside of Canada don't know where Alberta is or much about it. I just say "East of Vancouver" and that seems to work. Or if they are really curious, I just tell them where Cool Runnings was filmed.

Yes, I usually tell them that Alberta is the province that is the 2nd farthest to the west, or that it's north of Montana.
I would say less than 25% of people here actually know where Alberta is, but nearly everyone has at least heard of it.

Anyone who has been to Alberta, or spent time with Albertans would figure it is a fine place to live with fine people. Anyone who only watches the news would have a different vision.

The only people I've ever met who think Alberta is the alabama of Canada are from Vancouver, Toronto or Calgary.
Anyone I've ever met or spoken to from outside of Canada or NA, know nothing of our politics. Although they tend to think Trudeau is some celebrity PM who is the bastion of freedom and equality who is universally beloved.

Yeah, it's hilarious to think people give a fata about our provincial politics outside of Canada. It'd be like one of us giving a #### about the civic politics in Sudbury or Charlottetown. Not even on our radar.

Also, most people seem to know Vancouver or Toronto in Canada, so I tell them I am an hour flying time east of Vancouver, on the other side of the Rocky Mountains.

My friend just got back from Italy. The waiter asked him where he was from and he said Alberta, Canada. The response?
"Oh, freedom convoy?"
Yeah... not a great look for us

Lol but of course! We form the entire basis for their superiority complex, without which they would have no other reason to exist or feel civic pride. They need us, and would react antithetically to whatever government we have in place so that they can maintain their better than us position at every turn.

The weird part is, outside of the lower mainland once you get north of Kelowna, you will find the most Albertan Albertans who ever Albertaed. Rural or small centre BCians make rural or small centre Albertans look like Liberal Ottawatavanites.

What happened to the posters who keep insisting Calgary is a "World Class" city? I didn't think you'd have to describe where a world class city is located.
Being in some top 10 lists for livability and having a rodeo doesn't make you world class? who knew.
I know, funny coming from an Edmonton guy. but I've never thought Edmonton is world class, either.
To the world, Alberta at best is a quaint little backwater, imo.
