Default Onrait and O'Toole leaving TSN

Quote:
TSN today announced that the network’s popular sports anchor team of Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole are heading to Los Angeles for exciting new broadcast opportunities on U.S. television.

Onrait and O’Toole will continue hosting Canada’s most-watched sports news program, SPORTSCENTRE, until late June.

The best part of trade deadline day is leaving!

'Tis a sad thing.

My work got O'Toole and Onrait to do a fake sportscenter about our department. It was all in the studio and everything and they even mentioned people in our department by name.

It was pretty cool and funny.

Good for them.

I'm guessing they'll be the lead guys on whatever Fox Sports 1's highlight show will be.

Her fake smile will be forever engrained next to the TSN logo on the bottom right of my plasma tv.

Good on them, they will be missed.

Wonder if the US audience will appreciate them as much. There is becoming more and more of a cultural difference between the two countries every passing year.

Course Canadian comics always do good in the states. We got the funniest people in the world here! I know they are more 'broadcasters' than comedians, but I'm assuming the biggest part of the reason they are getting the chance is because they are funny.

This is sad news as the daily antics and hilarity were always welcome. They are both gonna be difficult to replace?

Do they get to take the Hockey Night in Canada song with them?
