Edit: best case scenario is the Jets get in on this and leave the packers and Rodgers flailing in the wind.

this has gone on so long, there are less teams looking for a QB than there was a month ago, not sure how much of a market there is for a guy who is starting to be injury prone and wanting the big guarantees, add in a couple first round picks. Will be interesting.

Doubtful we see anything until after the draft when whoever is left with nothing on the QB carousel might be willing to offer the minimum of two firsts. But Lamar has so thoroughly botched this situation that he's almost compelled to go all in on a fully guaranteed, even if the odds are basically zero. If he plays on the transition tag this year and with the lost money of not having an extension in place for last year he has cost himself at least $40 million.

The idea of the nonexclusive franchise tag was essentially to put him on the market where any team could sign him and the Ravens could match or take the picks. Clearly the Ravens are comfortable with two 1st round picks as a return so if a team really wanted him bad enough they would have signed him already. This seems like one of those situations where he's going to have to realize that NFL teams just aren't on board with the fully guaranteed long term deals especially when the player in question is a running QB that's averaging 5 missed games a season over the past two years. Maybe he should get an agent.

Lamar, your bluff was called. Just hire an agent and actually take your future career and compensation seriously.

Lamar needed to win in playoffs to take on the whole system like he did
Hurts could potentially attempt it after last year , but Lamar certainly appears to have overplayed his hand
But he’s only one desperate GM away from looking like a genius

Who wants an injury prone QB that relies heavily on the run? That's the reason he is getting injured. And he isn't exactly the best at throwing the ball either. Tough situation for him to be in, but I don't think any team wants to pay what he wants, both in salary and in picks/players to even grab Lamar.
The only thing I can see happening is if a team pays conditional picks based on how many games Lamar plays. No GM wants to pony up what Cleveland gave up to grab Watson.

As a Ravens fan since the Ray Lewis / Ed Reed days (I know), I just want this whole Lamar situation to end. I don't care if they take the picks and have to go with old man Flacco or something for a season. Defense first in Baltimore.

I just can't see another owner backstab the Ravens by paying him all that guaranteed money. The Browns did their best to absolutely #### the market with that ridiculous Watson contract, but it just seems to me the league is trying to make a point here. Wouldn't be surprised if Lamar just has to play on the tag this season.

Dude makes a great 1 handed catch once and gets a career out of it. I don't think I've ever seen a more overrated player honestly.

He was elite those first 3 seasons in New York.
Since breaking his ankle in 2017 though he's been plagued by injuries and really dont think he has much left in the tank to warrant a $15M deal.

yeah he was great early on, but injuries have slowed him down and he's been extremely overrated for years. $15m per year? lol.

the Lamar thing makes it even funnier to me. You're in a bitter contract standoff with your franchise QB, but have $15m to spare for an overrated, injury-riddled diva of a WR? Okay then.
