That was a great match, but I have a different Stan - Djoker match that is my favorite memory and that's the 2014 Aussie Open quarter-final that Stan won 9-7 in the 5th set. Novak was going for three in a row down under and Stan said not so fast my friend.

We await the X-rays to confirm, but this is not good if true.

Fantastic match and I remember watching it thinking Nadal had the title now that Djokovic was out but Stan (and Nadals back) had other ideas.
Terrible news about Bianca, is this the same injury that Zverev got last year?

Bianca didn't roll over her ankle as badly as Zverev did (at least from what I saw), it just looked like something gave way/snapped and she crumpled to the ground. I heard her say that she never experienced pain like that before. Just feel gutted about the whole thing, she was playing so well in Miami.

An achilles tear wouldn't hurt as much comparatively speaking, unless it was combined with another injury... I say this as a leading authority on destroying tendons in the process of sporting endeavours.

Sinner just blew Rublev off the court 6-2 6-4. Just a tremendous level of tennis from Jannik, Rublev didn't play badly, Sinner was just on fire throughout the match.

Oh that is just awful to watch, especially given how she had been playing. The first thing I thought when I saw it was Achilles or calf tear.
As you say, I didn't see any "rolling" and this looks much more like a muscle thing. Neither would be a good outcome, but at the very least a calf injury would be relatively short compared to torn ankle or achilles tendon.

If it's the achilles then her year is probably done and it would likely take the better part of next year just for her to get back to feeling like she did before injury. Hope it's something less severe.

Taylor Fritz continues his fine play with a straight sets win over Holger Rune. Shapo actually won one more game against Fritz than Rune did.

He's been pretty consistent overall since this time last year so I wouldn't go that far. He's something like 32-22 on outdoor surfaces over the last 12 months, so he's still very effective.
I would say he still has some issues with his backhand that need to be fixed that are limiting him in some of the matches where he doesn't have his serve and forehand going. In terms of becoming a continuous top 10 threat on tour, he's there.

Charlie is just unreal, Tommy Paul is hitting some great shots and they're all coming back and then Charlie hits a drop shot or drop volley and wins the point.

American men have won 52 grand slams in the open era which is the most by any country. Spain is 2nd with 30 .......how long until Spain is #1?

A long time, considering Alcaraz would have to get to 23 to catch up and Nadal took about 20 years to get to 22. Unless you think there's someone else on the horizon who's likely to win a bunch of them in the same timeframe.
In fairness, Alcaraz doesn't have Djokovic and Federer to deal with, but he has already had some injury issues, so I suspect he won't have the longevity of the big 3.
