Unfortunate reminder that hockey is only a game and that while we get upset if the team loses, we should be thankful for every day we have. I had a 35 year old neighbour (mother of two) succumb to meningitis last week.

Damn, terrible news. My little guy this morning asked me what my biggest fear was and I answered "losing one of you" (boy and a girl). Both gave me a big old hug. Cannot imagine anything worse than losing a child. My heart hurts just thinking about it.

They did the gender reveal in December, so I am assuming that he is not alive in the womb or didn't make it past delivery.
