Pretty sure the first one was after Game 7 against the Oilers in 1986.

Nothing to say with the rest of your post since I'm not here to debate Mikkelson, just wanted to comment on that one post

Oh and South Park is awesome
Clearly. Clearly deeper and darker because she reminds everyone of Scotty Bowman during his brief tenure doing colour commentary.

I’ve never seen South Park, therefore I’m incapable of understanding the english language mechanic known as “sarcasm” that most people develop the ability to use and identify in elementary school… presumably from watching South Park.

It must be a dork thing for dorks, says I, not a dork.

We could save a lot of tax dollars on teachers. Just run episodes of The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy and Seinfeld in the classroom and kids would come out of school better equipped to take on the real world.

The children would be sarcasm super soldiers. They'd never fail to detect sarcasm in any medium, especially text, like the regular wooshers of today.

The amount of references woven into conversations would certainly be hell for the old non-dorks.

If you don’t think it’s a different world for female broadcasters:

^^^^
Leslie Horton is fantastic, especially when she gets a little tipsy at Christmas. That stripper spot was hilarious. "Is that my stripper name?!" "Peaches sticky fingers?!".

Although her artichoke dip was the one that went viral, now up to 20 million views!

The overused and non spontaneous catch phrase.

Darren Pang and his "Holy Jumpin"

Yeah at least Maher saved it for special occasions. He would go seasons without using it.

Darren stole “Holy Jumpin” from Howie Meeker.

I'm gonna be doing AJHL play-by-play on the radio each of the next three nights.

First up: Okotoks vs Whitecourt tonight at 7. Pregame starts at 6:45 on 100.9 FM. Tune in to hear the only good Oilers hopefully beat the Wolverines.

I've done PBP before but never on the radio. Very excited. Hope you'll give it a listen even for a short while.
