The first time he did it, I imagine it was natural. It was well before 2004, maybe 1986? I recall Norm Edwards relaying it on the radio over and over again, tongue in cheek.
Pretty sure the first one was after Game 7 against the Oilers in 1986.

Even without the reference it's pretty clear sarcasm based on his other posts
I'm not comparing anyone to anyone, just saying that I believe you can be critical of a female sportscaster without it being sexist, like I have been with Cassie. I brought it up because I think with puckslaps tone it's pretty clear that his issues with Mikkelson are deeper than just thinking she does a bad job
Nothing to say with the rest of your post since I'm not here to debate Mikkelson, just wanted to comment on that one post
Oh and South Park is awesome
Clearly. Clearly deeper and darker because she reminds everyone of Scotty Bowman during his brief tenure doing colour commentary.
I’ve never seen South Park, therefore I’m incapable of understanding the english language mechanic known as “sarcasm” that most people develop the ability to use and identify in elementary school… presumably from watching South Park.
It must be a dork thing for dorks, says I, not a dork.

We could save a lot of tax dollars on teachers. Just run episodes of The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy and Seinfeld in the classroom and kids would come out of school better equipped to take on the real world.
“Myself and all my female colleagues, we all deal with it,” Horton said, adding that during her career, she has also received “messages that are inappropriate in a threatening way.”

Leslie Horton is fantastic, especially when she gets a little tipsy at Christmas. That stripper spot was hilarious. "Is that my stripper name?!" "Peaches sticky fingers?!".

I'm gonna be doing AJHL play-by-play on the radio each of the next three nights.
First up: Okotoks vs Whitecourt tonight at 7. Pregame starts at 6:45 on 100.9 FM. Tune in to hear the only good Oilers hopefully beat the Wolverines.
I've done PBP before but never on the radio. Very excited. Hope you'll give it a listen even for a short while.
