I might....but then I'd have to watch an hour-long review of a show I didnt like enough to watch.

I can tell people why it was crap in far less than an hour.

The thing about Star Trek fans is that we're largely a well documented self-deprecating bunch.

We get that a ridiculously large amount of Star Trek is unapologetic crap. We know that. We usually like it anyways or will at least tolerate it in its function of making us miserable until something good comes along and then we wont like that.

Its a lot like being a Flames fan actually.

The review is far more entertaining than the show was. I usually listen to these things like a podcast while I work.

They are entertaining and they did weekly reviews of Discovery and when you got to the last one, it almost felt like they were kicking a wounded cat.

Their review of the last Jedi was hilarious and sad.

That I am okay with, as long as I don't have to subscribe to Crave to see the series.

I dont care to tune in for many current shows but I will for this.

Here's to hopefully a strong start with plenty of nostalgia.

I hate to be the splash of cold water, I want to maintain my optimism but....

It kind of looks like its going to be 'Captain Picard: Space Cowboy!'

He's been like that since First Contact.

I'm betting this show will be all about how Starfleet has gone bad (or was really bad all along) and Picard will be the one to bring justice and equality to the force....uh I mean The Federation.

If Picard flies through space after getting blasted out of a hull, I'm out.

I'm betting it's a Borg story based on the trailers so far. Both Hugh and Seven are in the trailers. Romulans experimenting with former Borg to get revenge on the Federation for not saving Romulus from their exploding star.

all 4 TNG movies had some dumb action movie version of Picard that loved hand to hand combat so much, you'd think he was from the mirror universe

Generations - punching Soran
First Contact - bludgeoning borg with tommy gun
Insurrection - punching Ruafo
Nemesis - impaling and watching younger self pull giant spike through intestines

that's not even counting him grinning like a space redneck while driving that stupid dune buggy. I want tea sipping, flute playing, kurlan naiskos collecting Picard back.

Luckily Picard is 80 now so I don't think he'll be going all last action hero on anyone this time around.

Don't forget the balding senior bulging biceps scene from First Contact.

Director - "All right Patrick, now after when the poison coolant comes out you're going to climb up this hose thingy."

Patrick - "Can I wear short sleeves, I've been working out you know"

Director - Grumbles

Patrick - "Look at these guns man, the girls want it, the fans want it, you want it"

Oh.. they are probably just setting him up to be an action hero in preparation for the next “RED” movie.
