McKenna is a free agent. He did not sign with the Flames AFIK.

There's a few articles that mention him signing an AHL deal

Presumably that deal was terminated when they cut him from the Heat and he went back for his overage year. They can always sign him to an ELC at the end of the season if he's willing to give the Flames organization another try

That is exactly the case, btw. He had an AHL/ECHL deal that was terminated so he could return to junior.

Zavgorodniy with a goal in a 5-4 SOL to Shawinigan,+3

16g-12g/19a for 31pts, and an incredible +22, 3rd in Q scoring.

Little Z and Pelletier putting up the points is better than them not putting up the points obviously, but it's still the Q after all and Little Z is clearly getting an additional boost from his line mates.

Still nice to see, but massive grain of salt IMO.

WHL has a way higher save percentages than other junior leagues. I'm sure there is a reason.

Wow, would be awesome is Pelletier tooks a massive massive step in his D+1 year!

Flames could use another big win on the drafting department with all the great graduates the last couple years.

Pelletier had 2A in a 2-1 Wildcats win. He was 3rd star.
Another big game for Wolf, outshot 44-28 but he stopped 42 in a 3-2 victory. Wolf was 1st star.

It's not a matter of if he will win the Vezina, but how many.

Zav and Pelletier both with 1g and 1a in the Canada Russia series.

Lots of talk about Zav being a product of his line this year but there’s a reason the flames signed the 7th rounder after last season. He’s very skilled in his own right imo.

Pelletier has so much jam for a player his size

Russia wins 4-3.

Pelletier had 2 assists.
Little Z had 2G 1A, although I think they missed a second assist on the 3rd goal, he should have had 4 points.

edit: rewound it on the PVR, Z definitely had the second assist on the 3rd goal. Not sure how the official scorer missed that, it was pretty obvious. Maybe they'll add it later.
