pretty sure the Checkers will come out with some jump after yesterday's pounding, hope the Heat are up for it. Go Heat!

No doubt we will see a far more fiery Checkers squad tonight. Roy and the D had better be ready.

I thought Roy did such a good job tracking the puck last game. I think if the Heat can give him another lead like last night he should be able to have a calm 60 minutes.

O'Brien may have been below standard on the Flames blueline, but the guy has been a stud so far for the Heat. Having him, Wotherspoon, Billins, and Smith really helps keep the pucks moving onto forwards sticks on the breakout. Heck, Smith and OB will break right into the O-zone on their own.

Watch for Reinhart's strength tonight, that's been the improvement that's given him the most success this season. He's tenacious on the forecheck and wins battles.

It would be nice to see Hanowski draw back into the line up, as Gillies did little to nothing outside of "give the bench energy" last night.

For those of you who saw the game yesterday, how did Nemisz look for the Checkers?

Expecting a much closer game tonight, but still think the Heat will walk away with a regulation win.

5-2 Heat!

Well... He didn't look good. But not a single player on the Checkers looked good last night. The backup goalie looked good in the 2nd, but was exposed in the 3rd.

However, the PbP guy for the Checkers has said he's looked great, and like he started the year with the squad. Even had to miss time with infection soon after arriving with the team.

The whole team looked severely outmatched. So it's not fair to base anything off that game.

But looking at his stats and listening to the Checkers play by play man he is very highly thought of by his teammates and has been exceptional for them since day one. Even Troy G Ward had alot of glowing things to say about Nemo

Heat are going with the exact same roster as last night. Checkers will start Murphy, who came in relief after the first 4 goals, and was the better of the 2 Charlotte goalies last night.

Might be the least attended game of the season.

GHG! Again, I really need to start following the Heat more. I don't know why it's so hard for me to do.

Because he stopped producing, and there are a lot of good players on this hockey team. And Burke is meddling.

Gillies has taken his spot in the lineup the last couple of nights.

He's hit a bit of a rookie wall and coaches decision to sit him in favour of a veteran.
