I'm sure Leafs fans have an opinion.
Yep. Reimer is too good to be a backup but not consistent enough to be a starter. Perfect guy for the Panthers though with old man Lou as your starter.

I like Reimer though. Reimer, Kessel and Phaneuf are the good guys that have left this team from the dark days.

LMAO! I just saw on facebook that my in-law cousins are at the game tonight and they all rode the Zamboni, including their little girls! Awesome!

BTW, Backes was ejected in this game for a high hit on Trocheck, and was immediately challenged to a fight by Matheson (who is not a particularly tough guy).

I have to agree with the Boston broadcast crew, that hit wasn't really on Backes at all. Trocheck was hit from the front, and the initial point of contact was sort of the chest/shoulder. Some head contact involved obviously. Not really a blindside hit IMO.

However, Backes may face a suspension since he was given a match penalty. Thoughts?

few injured players back in and a little rest makes a world of difference.

Panthers win 3-0. First shutout of the Bruins since October. Whole team was good, but Reimer was great making 46 saves.

I think we see Florida in the playoffs this year.

Thanks for the Florida updates. They're easy to cheer for (except the poor ownership decisions..)

yeah but if the Blues won... don't they then pass the Flames? Isn't this a game where the best result is regulation?

Doesn't seem that bad, but I hate the Bruins and NESN so Ha-ha!

Good job Florida! Leafs only 3 points back of Boston, but Boston has 2 games in hand. Doubt they can catch them, but you never know.

Oops. Leafs are 5 points back still. Not catching them.

The Backes hit was similar to the Hornqvist hit to McAvoy (that one did look worse as it was face/head and Mcavoy leaked blood from his nose) Hornqvist got absolutely nothing . Backes with a major penalty and a possible NHL Player Safety review? What a ####ing joke.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Avs ended up in a divisional spot...not a 3 pointer is good news

MacKinnon with 2g 1a tonight now up to 85 points and in 4 th in league scoring. 1 less point than Mcdavid in 8 fewer games. He has to the unbiased Hart leader at this point
