Seen it? I drank along with him! Just sitting in silence, sipping good Lagavulin. It was magnificent.

Thankfully Jamie Benn hit 400 points last game, so they don't have any big milestones (except Spezza will play his 800th game tonight).

Johnny is sitting at 97 points, so I'm calling a 3 point game so he hits 100 tonight.

sure they can - if they can stay in front.
You can't expect Huds to effectively fight off Stars Dmen to hold in front.

It's pointless to be able to stay in front if you can't do anything with the puck when it gets there.

Dallas is too strong of a team. The Flames have been on a rise much like the house prices were in Calgary, but this winning bubble has to break eventually and I think it's against the insurmountable Dallas Stars.

4-2 Dallas

Screening the goalie?? The entire point of having a big body is that all they have to do is stand there. Holmstrom made millions of dollars being able to do just that.

That's what you said last game... You are an Oilers fan correct?

Holmstrom made millions because he could put the puck into the net from in close, and because he could screen a goalie. Cicerelli made millions because he could do the same. The "Holmstrom" powerplay idea is antiquated. Smaller guys are scoring from that area to this day

Not to mention, Holmstrom is not even big. Is having a guy in front of the net useful? Yes. Is it more effective to have the team giant in that role? Not particularly

Have to miss the first two periods tonight because of Parent-Teacher interviews - forgot to set the PVR this morning. Hoping to get home to a tied game or better, and see the Flames win in the third (or OT).

Go Flames Go.

This game frightens me. Flames have been playing well of late, but Dallas is on another level. If the Flames can't put together a 60-minute effort, and if the PP continues to embarrass itself, I think the winning streak likely ends tonight. I hope I'm wrong.

Listening to Steinberg and Loubo is on par with getting a root canal.

Really hoping Jooris has a strong game, being sat for 6 games in a row should be a good wake up call. I want Jooris from last year to rise from the ashes and get that 3rd line going!

4-3 Flames (Jooris, Gaudreau, Granlund, Hamilton)

On the other hand, the Stars' fans are hoping not to get Bennett-rated

(I'm not a native speaker, hopefully that's gramatically correct)

Yes. I keep hearing "why is X on the power play?" Truth is, with the present lack of success you could argue that none of them are good power play players.

Colborne doesn't have a lot of power play goals. But I'm not sure he's been used much until this year. I agree he's one of the better guys at retrieving the puck on a dump in though. And he's about as good a screen as there is on the team.

I don't see Hudler as a net front guy - more of a backdoor presence, like a Sedin.

Biggest thing on the PP is entry, were decent if we can get in the zone but we usually spend 45 seconds to a minute and half outside the zone
