If he felt good enough to fly out on his own, dress and take shots that tells me he is very close.

There are 2 games left on this trip. Why bother going all the way out there if you didn't plan on playing?

And yes, the comparison very much fits.
Actually it doesn't.

And just like the fact that you don't own the truth of opinion on the current Flames state, you certainly don't own the truth of a comparison of myself to Edmonton media.

I have too much written on this site for years to show otherwise.

You're a baby with the bathwater guy. I get it. I'm not. I see a team that has a lot going for it having a season where a lot of things didn't go well.

If we left it at that it would be fine.

But you're someone that isn't happy disagreeing with others, you need to actually attack them for having a differing opinion. I'd suggest that won't serve you well in life, but given the toxic extremes in almost everything in 2018 life I'm guessing you'll fit in just fine.

Predictably close lipped about his status. Wouldn't read anything into that comment one way or the other. I stand by my question. If he isn't close to playing in one of these two games, why did he come all the way out east?

Yeah you'd have to think he's suiting up for the Buffalo/Ottawa game. Unless he's down there to slap the boys around in the locker room.

This. If he's not playing, there's no point in him joining the team. Unless he's trying to get his timing back to be ready to go as soon as the road trip is over (maybe).

But I learn towards your take that unless he's thinking of playing on the road trip, why bother.

Be hoonnnesst!
Absolutely everyone, including every poster in this thread that claims Brad failed in not addressing goaltending at the trade deadline.

There is NOTHING brad could have done that would have pleased anyone here. I'm sure of it.

- Okay backup that's slightly better than what Gillies and Ritiich provide? Slammed

- Great back up/1b starter at a cost? Slammed

- Leave as is with no signs that Rittich would struggle this badly? Slammed

And like Browna said, even if he acquired a goalie at a cost and we were winning, everyone would be apoplectic because they wouldn't have the hindsight of Rittich and Gillies struggling so they'd assume we wasted assets for nothing.

He was in an absolute, 100% no win situation with fans on this one, 100%.

Nah, just find a starter for free somewhere in between the cushions of his couch. That's the only acceptable option available to him.

Just looked at the standings and realized the Flames have only 4 more wins than the Oilers with the Oilers having 1 game in hand and one more head to head with the Flames.

The Flames are 14 points up on the Oilers. There's no way they're catching us, and as painful as this season has been it has been nowhere near the train wreck the Oilers season has been.

Both teams have failed to meet expectations, but there's no comparisons. The Flames will likely fall just short of their expectations. The Oilers didn't even come close.
