Looked more like he was trying to block a soft pass with his skate and lost it. No doubt there were better options but to play the lazy card is a reach. His backcheck 4 years ago was lazy. He was in perfect position down deep and made a bad play with the puck.

Whats the difference between Ovies deal and say a potential Tavares deal. I think the Flames would be better off with Johnny feeding OV one timer shot on the PP and Monny cleaning up the garbage. And save yourself about three or four years of contract pain in the process.
