Default Sieloff makes 2013 USA Junior Evaluation Roster

http://worldjuniors.usahockey.com/pa...on-camp-roster

Goalies are TBA; Gillies is a no brainer

lots of young talent; more than half are draft eligible

Awesome.

This kid. I'm excited. I know he's not a big guy, and he's not a huge offensive weapon. But wow. He's going to be a monster.

He's a late 1993 birth, so he's not eligible to play in next year's World Juniors.

I hope we snag Cammarata with a mid round pick.

Puny yes, but seems like a very intriguing "Gaudreau" type pick.

I suspect Sieloff will be wearing a letter for Team USA too.

being a returning player improves his chances, however, the coach will be Don Lucia. You will not find a more staunch supporter of NCAA hockey than him. It will be interesting to see if there is a bias for NCAA players or against CHL players

I didn't really notice how Sieloff's skating is. Can anyone comment on it?

Obviously his physical tools are amazing. Do you think he could be a leader-type as well?

Good possibility for Captain in the upcoming WJC. I like the way this guy plays. Reminds me so much of Regher.

Really excited about the prospect of having a player that forces players to keep their heads up again.

I think his skating is his strong suit. I was really impressed with his skating when I watched him play. I was expecting a Sarich type player but he's actually more similar to Phaneuf minus the offensive vision and skills.

However, like Phanuef, I don't know about his hockey sense, he seems to make some stupid reads and decisions in his own end.

He's a competitor though.

How's his health? He missed a lot of games this year. I think it was his groin. Hopefully it's healed and not a chronic-type injury.

Love that he always backs up his big hits with a fight.

Me too. He knows his style of play will mean having to back it up. Glad he can and will. I've watched those hits over and over again and they're clean too.
