Default CPHL prospects in the NHL discussion

With my rebuild going in full swing I've become way more focused on how my prospects are doing these days.

I'm pretty happy with Yegor Sharangovich, who I snagged this summer as a UFA. Looks like dynamite in the NHL thus far with the Devils. Might have a player here.

Who are some of your guys who you're excited to see potentially make the jump to your CPHL squad next year after a good year in the NHL?

Nice work Scorp, you always do some solid work with UFA's it seems.

I dont have too many rookies, but some guys who made the team or taxi squad are:

-Pius Suter (3rd line in NHL)
-Phillip Kurashev (taxi squad)
-Nico Sturm (4th line in NHL)
-Kevin Lankinen (taxi squad)
-Wyatt Kalynuk (taxi squad)
-Drew O'Connor (taxi squad)
-Fredrik Handemark (taxi squad)

Yeah I got Francouz for free a couple years ago, too. Was able to flip him eventually for Jan Mysak, who then became essentially a 2nd + 2 3rds. Fun.

Suter is intriguing for sure. I'm also reasonably hyped about Collin Delia, who I got as a throw-in the last time I traded Sheary. Delia looks like he might be the better of the Hawks' two goalies this year—might have a cheap backup on my hands.

Pretty excited about Nesterov too—he's not exactly a rookie but he kind of qualifies as a guy who should re-rate well after coming (back) to the NHL this year.

I signed John Leonard as a UFA a couple of years ago and he's now made his NHL debut for the Sharks ... and had 2 assists in his first game. Pretty cool.

Gabe Vilardi - LA - hoping to see him pick up from where he left off last year. He's a guy with a lot of upside but big injury problems

Owen Tippet - Florida - hoping to see him finally grab a roster spot. Was sad to see Grigori Denisenko assigned to the AHL.

Nils Hoglander - a dirty Canuck but a player I like

Jake Bean - Canes Taxi

Juuso Valimaki - big hopes for him on the Flames

Igor Shesterkin - New NYR #1
Ilya Sorokin - new NYI #2

Dylan Cozens - Sabres still seem like a disaster but let's see what he can do

Nicholas Roberston - Should get into some games with the Leafs

Bowen Byram - Avs.

Filip Zadina - his first full year, sitting on the second line in Detroit

Lias Andersson - Kings taxi squad, must be just steaming

Henrick Borgstrom - Florida unsigned! Can't blame him, strange management.

Julius Honka - IR to start the season, and I can't make heads nor tails of Dallas D.

Dylan Samberg - Winnipeg taxi squad.

Smattering of guys in their second seasons. Most of my prospects are in the 'need to get minutes in the AHL' camp, which doesn't bode well for next years re-rate!
