Rep emailed me back and said they would refund the playoff payment, and that it must have been an error as all payments have been delayed from March 23.

I'm not sure what to do here going forward. I hate to give up my tickets (nice greens) but realistically can't go to enough games. Maybe I'll try and find someone nearby to split them - I think lots of people will be giving up their tickets.

I'm very curious whether the Flames will stick to their big price increase - it seems like a bad plan at this point, but maybe they'd rather get the extra money from the people who do decide to keep their tickets.

It's the Flames, don't forget. Of course they'll stick with the price increase. And I say this as a reluctant sth.

Where are your seats (color will suffice; don't need specific section/row numbers)? I'm curious about some of the comments about resale and what seats are still able to cost recover versus those that aren't...

He often has PL4 row 2 for sale. I have greens (close to the front of the section) and was able to get cost recovery on almost all games and made up more than the difference on sales of premium games, so I did better than break even on my sales this year. I went to a mix of premium and non-premium games personally. The trend has been down though, and this was before coronavirus...

Flames need that money to pay their employees. I'm just waiting for the employee surcharge fee to be introduced.

Yeah, came here looking for news before I go bitching at my rep.

If they expect payment commitments by Monday, in this environment, I will cancel. Hopefully they show some sensibility (I know, I know)

They've let it go to far. They can extend all renewals by a month. This hasn't made clear to date.

There was a FAQ about the deadline of March 23rd will be extended about a week ago on the Flames site. I have not looked since I saw it. I emailed my rep, email address of your rep is on your mailed out Renewal statement, yesterday and he said they are still finalizing dates and next steps and the hope to finalize details ASAP. I think they have done a good job communicating. Tough times right now for everyone.

As per the FAQ I expected there to be more info provided by now. Anyone have any further info directly from their rep?

The agent said there's a 30-day extension. Got playoff tickets refunded and switched to pay as go no problem.

Just remember (And this is coming from a CSEC finance employee), that as long as the salary cap keeps increasing, the ticket increases are basically just a function of keeping up with their own cost increases, rather than a pure cash grab. Give them credit, they do put the money back into player payroll rather than sit around with loads of cap space year to year. Just one way of looking at it, but I get that it is hard to see price increases with everything that has been going on in the world, and our own local economy.

I don't know much about how it works, but isn't the cap increasing because revenues increase? Isn't that just a positive feedback loop? We need more money to cover next years cap, raise ticket prices! More money has been taken in this year, better raise the cap!

I could have that all wrong.

What I don't understand is why they keep raising the cap and don't just let the increased HRR erase the escrow that players have to keep putting away. Clearly there is something major that I don't understand about that system.
