With my dad being a Bruins fan I've grown up in a household where you just don't cheer for the Habs. But because my cousin's husband is being a real dick about the Flames for some reason I'm going to have to break that rule for the rest of the first round.

I believe it was Rick Tocchet made a comment the other day about seeing if a team wanted to stay in the bubble or not based on their play.

The Canadiens want to leave the bubble.

I don't know about that. They've put up a pretty good fight, Pittsburgh and Philly are just both more talented teams than them.

Washington...they want to leave the bubble for sure.

Arizona...probably ready to leave the bubble.

Carolina...look like there are no museums in the bubble and they are ready to leave.

it is 2-0 Flyers with eight minutes left in regulation time. Price can only do so much by himself.

Hart is two minutes away from another playoff shutout. I do not believe in jinxes.

Hart did it, two consecutive shutouts! The youngest goalie to do that in the NHL.

Ouch, Carlson sporting a -8 so far this series against the Isles. That minus would make McDavi and Raisaitl blush.

Backstrom missing games has definitely not helped the Capitals, but the Islanders have swept Penguins and are two periods away from sweeping Caps in back to back years.

Such a well coached team.

If only the Caps could have a coach of that caliber

The Capitals appear that they will not go into the night quietly.

For listeners in British Columbia, Sportsnet 650 is carrying the entire Blackhawks-Knights game using the Knights feed.

Trying to stream at work. Very choppy video. Debrincat and Pacioretty late. 2-1 after 1st.

2 goals in less than 90 seconds of playing time (split across the intermission) and Vegas turns a 2-0 Chicago lead into a tie early in the second.

...

Kane slips it through the 5-hole. 3-2 Hawks.

I hate their entire franchise, but Vegas is so deep. I haven't watched them play much post trade deadline with their latest lineup. Getting a look tonight.

Paccioretty, Stone, Karlson. Marchessault, Statsny, Smith. Those are your top two lines. Add in the fourth intimidation line and an unremarkable third line. And a pretty good defensive core. I hate their guts, but that is a solid lineup.

Then Fleury and Lehner as their 1A and 1B.

Yeesh, assuming they get by the hawks whomever gets them in round 2 is in for it. IF the flames were to get by dallas good chance we'd get the golden showers (assuming Avs knock out the coyotes).

And we have our hands full with Dallas......

EDIT: Right after I saw they have a meh third line Tuch scores. So sick of seeing this vegas team. I like the city of Seattle, but if they shove that franchise down our throats too I will hate the kraken.
