Default Friday Trivia (MLB Edition) - Guess the HOF Plaque

Since we're in baseball playoff season, this is a baseball edition of the Friday Trivia game.

Each of the 25 entries below represents the actual text from the plaque of a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. What you need to do is tell me the name of the person each chunk of text describes. To increase the degree of difficulty, I have removed all of the vowels (except for that wishy washy "y") and spaces from the text. Standard CP rules apply (one answer per post, no consecutive answers, and knowing looking it up on the internet). Please provide the entry # with your answer. One point per correct answer.

This will be a test of your baseball knowledge and your code scrambling skills!

One small hint: not all of the men below were inducted as players.
