I think the match against Suriname is going to be a must-watch.

What is the tiebreaker in the event of a tie in the Canada/Suriname game?

Canada will finish first in the group, ahead of Suriname, if they draw due to Canada's better goal differential heading into the game.

This is the spot where typically our naive hopes are up, only for the team to crumble and #### the bed in a spectacular, soul crushing fashion.

A decisive win, and this all starts to feel a bit real.

If anyone got their OneSoccer subscription through the CanPL "Collective" membership, I recommend that you check your subscription.

My subscription "coincidentally" ended today, just in time for the Suriname match. I subscribed via The Collective in early August 2020, prior to the CanPL Island Games. Technically it promised the "2020 Season", so the fact that it remained active until now was an unexpected bonus.

I mention this only to prevent frustration fumbling for credit cards at 6:59 tonight right before kickoff. I will be resubscribing for another year because I want to support OneSoccer. Between Canada and CanPL matches, they also produce a daily soccer show OneSoccer Today (with Andi Petrillo no less). I think that it is good value and I don't mind paying my share.

Seems that OneSoccer is having an issue with the Collective subscriptions, so maybe mine hasn't expired? Stay tuned.

It's been a few years since I've been nervous before a Canada game. Can't wait!

Confirmed that OneSoccer subscriptions via The Collective are definitely one year and mine has been reactivated. I’m good to go for tonight and will save my money for my early August renewal.

Haiti won 1-0 and have advanced. The 2nd half was played in an absolute monsoon, the ball could barely roll. And two red cards in that monsoon. More Peak CONCACAF.

Hope it clears up by Saturday when Canada get there!

Hopefully the national team doesn't get held up at gunpoint in Haiti like the Belize national team were...

I’m excited and nervous, both have been building all day! Unfortunately it looks like I’ll miss the first half, here’s hoping the boys come out strong and make a real statement about Canadian soccer today!

Looks like a 4-3-3. Calgarian Scott Kennedy making his debut for the national team at CB.

Looking forward to the game, but man Suriname introducing a special sports passport for Dutch people of Suriname descent in 2019 primarily for soccer is shady.

This feels like a team of ringers most of whom actually aren't even from this country. Know we took airfield but this is next level

Nice lineup... though Henry always scares me a little back there

Game is really tight, Suriname really defending, going to a late 1-0 steal

Suriname very unlucky to be down 1-0 here. Davies looks like he got concussed when scoring the goal.

Nine of their eleven starters were born in Holland!

Halftime thoughts...

- Weird time to try a new formation with a right back in a back three and 2 defensive mids.
- Canada feels static in attack. Feels like they're just playing possession waiting for Suriname to make a move.
- Scott Kennedy looks like a great CB. Want to see more. Super composed compared to Henry who has always been rash.
- Davies have my babies.
