We need a 3rd set as Samsonova takes set 2 6-3. Also, Gaby Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe teamed up to win the doubles crown at the Nottingham Open which is great to see.
It's a shame Bianca couldn't get the win on her 24th birthday, but still a great week making the final. Samsonova is in the top 20 and squeaked by Bianca 4-6 6-3 7-5 so it really shows that Bianca is back and ready to compete with the top players as long as she can stay healthy.

wow, feels like Bibi has been with us for too long to have just turned 24. I really hope despite the constant band aids that this means she has plenty of runway left to catch fire at a slam at least a few more times.

Felix retired from his match earlier today versus Kopefer down a set and trailing 3-4 in set 2. It seemed to come out of nowhere, but speculation is it might have been a hip issue.
Great. Just when he was starting to look like he was getting back on track.
Speaking of guys needing to get back on track, Rune lost to Thompson earlier today at Queen's Club. That said, Thompson is pretty good on the grass but Rune has not had a good 2024.
Just thought I'd add the highlights from Leylah's match earlier today - She has changed her service motion quite dramatically since we last saw her and so far so good: 2 aces and only 1 double fault with a first serve percentage of 74%

That's the very big if. I hope she's realized that she should be limiting her schedule in order to keep herself fit from now on and doesn't try to go for too much, too fast. Go ahead and play Wimbledon, but maybe look to play only one or two select events (W&S + National Bank 1000s) between now and the US open before you start ramping things up. With her it sadly almost always feels like when, not if in terms of the next injury.
Milos on the other side, seems to finally be getting through matches without any huge issues (fingers crossed). It certainly took some time after getting back into a string of ATP matches again as his comeback really started about 1 year ago now. Another win or two at Queens and hopefully a run through quallies and a few rounds at Wimbledon should get his ranking back into the top 100 just in time for the hardcourt swing.

sort of looks like Iga's current/recent service motion? holding the racquet out like that looks a bit weird but it must cut down on number of moving parts. Anyways, why aren't all the Canadians tinkering like this since like, two years ago?
