what does JB have do with the Pens upgrading their draft pick? huh

Sutter's 34 points with "premium" ice time as you say, is deployed heavily against the other teams top lines and top powerplay. 73 points in 175 games for the Canucks is preety good actually considering his role. he's a valuable player on the team.

'Dim Jim' is doing a great job rebuilding the team, so if he is the GM for life it wouldn't be the worst case scenario.

Thanks for the Double Down, worthy of KFC.

But you canít even get your facts straight, which is understandable being a Canuck fan full if revisionist history.

Benning was hired in May 2014
Kesler was traded in June 2014

What season are you talking about?

please forgive me, the deal happened 4 years ago... Im surprise you are so informed about Canuck related transactions.

I thought you were making a point that Benning held on to Kesler for too long. MY BAD.

he did what Gillis should've been done in the first place before things got sour. You cant fault Benning for not getting enough, the main purpose was to get rid of him in the locker room. We got Bonino and traded him to a cup contender and got an equally valuable player in Sutter in the locker room.

no GM is perfect, you should know this considering you own GM has made questionable moves too. but going back years to dissect each move is pointless.

fast forward to 2018, and were not trading Sutter for Kesler.

Quote:
As for Kesler, you let him sit until you maximize the return. Not to mention other players the Canucks could have insisted on if they were competent.

The day Blaster was modded on your forum was the single most important day of your life.

For me, it was a Wednesday.

The Flames won the Cup in '89.

So, my 2nd most important day.

I really hope my wife and kids never read this forum.

Guddy is having a better start to the year, he actually looks like he can play in the NHL as a sheltered bottom pairing defenseman. But it's Hutton keeping that pairing above water.

But he's still overpaid and not very good. His biggest asset is being right-handed.

Things that are "No Good!":

1) Thinking that the Canucks current level of play is sustainable. They remind me of the 14/15 Flames. Fun team but it won't last.

2) "Guddy".

3) Coming out of the woodwork as soon as the Canucks experience a little bit of (unexpected) success. Last month Canucks "fans" were hoping to tank for Hughes. Now they're talking about Peterssen as a potential MVP. You folks are the bandwagonniest.

4) Vancouver.

I didn't actually realize the Canucks were 3rd overall right now and are 2nd in goals for. Screw Jack Hughes....we need to start figuring out a parade route.

Vancouver just keeps on winning ...

Is this a "man did we screw up our draft pick!" start? Or are they going to be the Avalanche or Flames from earlier this decade that find a way to keep it up all season.

They are ranked 27th in generation stats, and 21st in prevention stats, and combined 26th league wide in analytics.

That makes them the single highest differential between standings and how they are playing at +21.

Would think that's not easy to sustain, but it happens.

I live out here, so I watch them a lot in the moments that I get to recover from my obsessive contemplation about Blaster86's existential impact. I think they keep it up for a good while yet, and am starting to imagine that they could be a Cinderella playoff team this year.

Were that to happen then they most likely would play the Flames in Round 1, since this is what always happens. It would be awesome because the Flames always crush their souls.

It's no fun playing with your little brother if you don't throw him a bone every now and then. This actually can help to intensify the ultimate effects of soul crushing.
