Clone? Force-spirit inhabiting the body of a younger...yoda-thing?
Or maybe Yoda got it on with his brother's wife and its his illegitimate love-child? No...thats Ryan Giggs. My bad. Easy mistake to make.

"Ohhh there's their new toy. I was wondering when it would show up."

Ok that was pretty fun. Still hoping it gets deeper.

Episode one was good enough to make me watch episode 2. Episode 2 gives me a lot more enthusiasm for this series. I don't really know where it's going, but I like it a lot.

Those title cards at the end are very western, and pretty damn gorgeous.

I really liked that episode, I loved it when the baby kept trying to use the force and our hero kept picking him up and putting him back in the basket.
Loved the Sandcrawler chase, especially with the baby carriage screaming along beside it.
Now we know why 3po called Jawa's disgusting creatures.
We now know how good that Mando sniper rifle is.
Overall this is a fun series so far, I'd love to see each episode longer but they are packing a ton of stuff into each episode.
Nick Nolte out.

I think a big thing it’s really succeeding at is visual storytelling. So much of modern tv and movies have characters dumping exposition to explain every little thing, not so here. Heck there’s often entire lengthy sequences (5 minutes +) with no dialogue at all. And it’s great!

I loved the fact that we got to see more of the Jawa,s and the inside of the Crawler. Plus I didn't know they had a VIP balcony on the top.

Really loving this. It just feels like actual Star Wars. Maybe moreso than anything since the original series. You can tell that Jon Favreau just gets it.
I'm fine with the shallowness of the story. In fact this is kind of what I expect from a streaming series. I do think the series will get deeper in terms of character development. I don't expect some sweeping changes to the overall Star Wars universe though.

The best thing they did was involve Filoni and Favreau. When you hear Filoni talk he has a genuine love for Star Wars and protecting its lore.
He's weirdly obsessed with Plo Koon, but you look at everything he did with Rebels and Clone Wars, and you can see that Mandolorian is following that formula.

Knowing Disney we'll probably be able to buy them as genetically modified pets in a few years.
Gotta get those revenue streams maximized.

My only gripe, why don't they mention or just display the name of the planets.

Is the baby yoda really a baby? Being 50 years old, it should be around 6 years old (in appearance) or so - not a baby.
Plus, it can walk around and understand what's going on.
I like practically all of the characters that they have introduced. Everyone is so interesting. Looking forward to seeing how the characters continue to develop.

The thing that I like the most about the characters is that they actually behave like Star Wars characters. I think this was something that they really missed in the last two trilogies. The prequels were filled with characters who acted like royalty. The latest trilogy is filled with melodrama.
They've been missing characters who seem to be actually living in the universe. Characters like Luke's adopted parents, whose main concern is the yield in their farm.
The Mandalorian is really hitting that. Loved the Jawas and the rogues in the bar. The assassin droid was just so much better than the droids we've been getting like L3-37 or those annoying clone wars droids. The droids are intelligent and have emotions but also supposed to act like computers; they aren't supposed to be straight up zanny all the time.
As for baby Yoda, all brains develop differently. If Yoda's species is ultra intelligent, you'd presume they would take longer to develop. I think he's meant to be hyper intuitive even though language wise and physically he has a long way to go.

Probably largely because in the theme of a Spaghetti Western it doesnt really matter. I doubt its some kind of oversight as opposed to a deliberate decision.
Kind of like what blankall is saying, this is just a guy living in this Universe going about his life doing what he does.
I'm sure they'll tie it all in to some larger overall effort eventually, but in the meantime hes just going to planets collecting bounties, just another day in the life.
