I golfed Glen Eagles yesterday - weekday rate is $65 not including cart. Greens were really fast and firm, and the three bunkers I was in were fluffy. That wind though was murder.

I hate Glen Eagles. Of course, my like/dislike of courses is directly related to my score. That course doesn't suit my inaccurate game at all.

Sounds like a group of members bought Bearspaw, no idea on how they plan on operating it (have to imagine being fully private is out of the question given that a bunch of members have already moved onto other clubs).

Haven't heard anything new about the purchase, but the superintendent did just quit. No clue if the issues are related or he saw an out and took it.

Anyone know good online sites for club buying? Seems I misjudged how to purchase last year's model irons. I figured wait until black Friday get a huge deal on M4 irons.

Turns out they kind of try to disappear last year's models pretty quickly after the season when it comes to golf. Not only was Golftown not expecting a huge sale on M4's, they're also basically out of them now.

Checked amazon and they're still $779 (golftown was $650, then $575 plus 10% off...really should have just jumped at this, looking back).

Any other major online retailers that work well for Canadians?

Keep in mind though US$

GolfWRX classifieds are hands down the best for the resale market. It's even better if you have a US address as shipping domestically is included.

Can confirm, just picked up a 24 pack. They had tons of them.

Wife said the Beacon Hill store did not have them but I'm not sure how hard she looked for them when I asked her earlier this week.

Maybe stating the obvious but these Kirkland balls are not the 4-piece ones that sold out immediately when they first came out. By many accounts, these 3-piece ones are just meh.

Full disclosure: I have not used them.

Costco ended up refunding a bunch of money to people for the Kirland balls. I'm not sure if it was for this batch or what? might want to check into it though.

The recall/refund was the 4 piece balls. The ones here are the 3 piece. I picked up a box to see how they compare to some other soft balls I am trying next year.
