People cried for a Pokemon game for the switch even a port of a 3DS game, this comes out and they cry again.
I played it last night and its not amazing in the graphics dept its Pokemon and I'm not sure what you would expect, same game different region. If you love pokemon you will love it if you don't then don't expect to love this one.
Limited customization of characters as usual besides outfits.

I think the series being handheld exclusive to date made it easy to excuse the more limited scope. People were expecting more of a jump with the series moving to a platform that we can play BOTW, Skyrim, and The Witcher 3 on. "Just another Pokémon game" or "An up-res version of the 3DS games" is unquestionably a disappointment.

Think the thing is it’s still game freak - they haven’t really developed anything other than Pokémon which is always the same. Probably will never happen but would love to see another team at Nintendo develop a Pokémon game.
Finished Luigi’s Mansion 3 tonight though, that really is a great game that just has so much character .

I’ve played for about 3 hours...my wife has taken over the switch now though and she is playing it more than me.
Overall I like it. Pretty traditional Pokémon game. One thing I do miss now though is the Pokeball throwing mechanic from Let’s go. Feels less satisfying to just hit the button instead of having the control to aim and spin it yourself.

Yeah I have to compete with two kids and now my wife for some reason but oh well I get a little bit of time here and there one complaint I have is I really wish they would put in a harder difficulty option it is too easy

Has anyone tried Fallen Order yet? Gameplay seems right up my alley. Uncharted mixed with Dark Souls, however I just don't care for Star Wars. No nostalgia from the original trilogy and haven't even seen any of the new ones.

It’s not on Switch, some ongoing discussion about it in the main video game thread.

I just beat it today.
It's pretty fun - not as slow paced as some of the previous entries in the franchise.
A lot of the new Gen 8 pokemon are pretty nice and creative.

You beat it in just a few days? Was it pretty short?

It took 20 hours to beat - so a bit short for sure.
I'm not sure how much of an end game there is.

The lack of support for Mario Maker 2 has been mind-boggling. This is a hugely successful game basically tailor-made for on-going support, both free and paid. All it has got is one patch to add in some multiplayer features that were missing on day one, and otherwise not even a hint of further support. Where are the new course pieces, new features/modes, heck even a whole new theme would be a great paid DLC. Instead, nothing, and I feel like there won't be anything at this point.

I feel the same about Mario Party. The few boards included were small and below average compared to former Mario Party games
I would pay for DLC with more boards, even if they were just remasters of maps from previous games
