So Kouzmontsis sure back slid this season but at least Petterson still looks OK.

Gotta think thats the end of Mattson, and Nodler sure doesnt look like much of a propsect either.

What are the chances that Pettersen goes pro after this season?

I think there is no chance. He is still two years from graduation and UFA.

Back-to-back 3-0 losses to Michigan means that MSU's season is over. Josh Nodler finishes his freshman season with 3 goals and 5 assists in 36 games played. Mitchell Mattson ends his sophomore season with 1 assist in 22 games played.

The good news is that Mattson played in all of MSU's final 16 games of the season. Also, 4 of the Spartans' top-6 point leaders this season were seniors, so there may be opportunities for Mattson and Nodler to move up the lineup next year.

----------

Denver finished its regular season with a 5-1 win over Colorado College. Pettersen had 1 goal and 1 assist in the game. He finishes the regular season with 13 goals and 22 assists for 35 points in 36 games played, which leads the team in points (2nd in goals and 3rd in assists).

Next week, the NCHC tournament gets underway. Denver will host Nebraska-Omaha in a best-of-three playoff. The two teams played twice during the regular season. Both games were in Omaha and both were ties.

No matter what happens in the conference tournament, Denver will be getting an invite to the NCAA tournament.

Meanwhile, in Arizona, the Sun Devils played paintball as they await the results of the conference playoffs to see if they make the cut.

As we saw with most of the major sports organizations across North America, the NCAA has cancelled all of its remaining winter and spring competitions, which includes the Frozen Four.

The 2019-20 college hockey season is now over.

All of the Flames' prospects who played in the NCAA this year should be back in college again next season. Neither Denver nor ASU are losing many of their top players to graduation, so both teams should be pretty similar to this season when action picks up again in the fall.

The Flames will likely draft some college-bound players at the draft this year too (they often do), so we'll likely have a couple of new teams to track next year.

Also, hoping we take a swing at Kawaguchi... he's not tall but he's built well for a shorter guy, very low center of mass. Protects the puck pretty well. I think he could be an excellent bottom 6 guy in the nhl at least.
