Dead in 1 day 2 hours I meant. For percentage I'm just going by the popups it throws out at 20% and 10%.
I have push enabled as well.
After a reset it looks like my usage is normal again. It says 2 hours 53 minutes standby and 45 minutes usage, rather than 23 hours standby and 23 hours usage like it said yesterday... So I must have had some rogue process running draining the battery.

Oh ok, I see. That sounds pretty good to me actually. But then again, I charge the phone every night, regardless of what power I have left. I start fresh everyday.

I listen to audio books when I go to bed so I don't do that, though maybe I could get dock for my night stand so I can plug it in when I go to sleep.

Yeah, I just got a Sony clock radio one from Air Miles, it's pretty good. You could look into that, or maybe head to the Apple store to see what they can offer.

I think 2.2 uses the battery faster than 2.1, or so it seems to me...

Does anyone know if I can use the 3G network down in Calgary, even though I'm from Edmonton, without having to pay more for it? Like for surfing the net and stuff?

Mine is way better since 2.2. Especially how little the battery drains when i stream internet radio or podcasts.
Fairly simple tips, but this helped me suck more time out of my battery:

One thing I noticed is I now get full bars of 3G in my house whereas before I could only get Edge, I was too far away from the main road.
There's no way though that an update fixed it that much, they must have actually just turned on a new 3G tower.
EDIT: I didn't start getting 3G the day I upgraded, at least I don't think I did.. I only noticed it the past few days.

Hey, I downloaded Wunder Radio and like it so far. Question: If I'm playing Wunder Radio in my office using my wi-fi, is it possible that it might flip over to 3G or Edge without my knowledge and start consumking my free time or costing me money? This happened to me once using FlyCast where I was listening on wi-fi and I checked and it was on either 3G of Edge and I hadn't known this had happened. Not sure what happened that it lost the wi-fi signal or that it would automatically flip over to one of the others. Thx for responses as I don't know much about these things.

^^ Do you have the 6GB plan?
I don't get why people worry about the data usage if they have that plan.

So a guy at work has the average 6GB plan with Rogers. He was in the US for a week and used over 500MB of data. Is he going to F'd in the A with his bill?

Probably. I don't know for sure, but when I go to Vegas this month I am going to turn all that stuff off.

A friend of mine left it on while she was in NY and her bill was through the roof. If you're traveling to the States, always try to check off that option where it turns off the roaming (something like that, I forget the exact terms).

$0.05 per KB roaming X 1024 X 500 = $25,600
I would rather be F'd in the A.

wow 500 mb of data in a week. I have only put on 260 MB since September. I will be lucky to use 6gb in a year.

/\ No kidding.
I've used about 700Mb Total since July. Maybe that much is worth $25 large in Vegas, or where ever, but how TF would the battery even hold out for that much usage in a week? If I surf for 2 hours, the thing is ded. D_E_D, ded.

Jailbroken and tethered is the only way I could think of. And then downloading torrents.

Tethering and watching flames games online is a great way to suck up your 6 gigs worth.
Sometimes I just leave it plugged in over night streaming a radio station. Gotta get whatcha pay for.

Ouch. That is going to sting. I hope he didn't actually use 500MB or he is going to have to pay his phone bill with his car.
