I am sure that everyone agrees that this kid is going to be very good. I listed to his exit interview from yesterday and was very impressed. Extremely excited to be here and get into playoff games(which he was awesome in) and seems very mature.
That said, what are we hoping he turns into? Who does he remind you of?
Might be hard to compare to anyone due do to his small sample size.
Either way, i am happy that he Tre told him he wont be going anywhere.
I don't know, but I think Juuso Valimaki will be an excellent defenseman for many years.

Just watching him in the playoffs, he was exactly what the rest of the Flames weren't (outside of Bennett): he wasn't scared to make plays.
He was out there generating chances even if it meant he would be caught out of position if he messed it up and the puck went the other way. He wasn't playing tentative like the vets.
He has poise at such a young age and has the talent and instincts. He will be a great dman I'm sure of it.
Mark Giordano signed his first contract with the Flames when he was 20 years and 277 days old.
If we're talking about comparing career trajectories, well, Valimaki is light years ahead. Of course, he'll have to catch up to Giordano's incredible improvement in his late-20s and early-30s, but as it stands, he's on a good pace.
