Spurs played well enough to win, again, today. They struggle when teams sit back though, and that's been an ongoing issue for a few years now. Sometimes they just don't take their chances and it costs them points. I don't think that anyone is just going to roll through unblemished though. United had a draw against Stoke last week. Chelsea lost to Burnley. It's a long season, but I have no doubt that Spurs will be in the thick of it come the spring.

Come on, Slava - let's not kid ourselves - the Spurs are already done as far as 1st is concerned.

I might have a look at the odds and put some money down. They're a good team and there are a lot of games left!
Every team has issues. It sucks to draw against Swansea, but really they dominated. I won't blame the ref because I think every team gets some calls and doesn't through the season...but it was tough to see three potential penalties go uncalled in a tight game as well.

The real shame is that we've finally beaten Palace and not lost to Burnley and it still isnt enough.

another 4-0 win. Game was much closer though, United didn't get the important second goal until the 83th minute and Everton had some great chances to tie it up. They completely imploded towards the end though - similar to West Ham and Swansea in their games against United.
City and United now both with 13 points and 16-2 goals. Next episode in the Pep/Jose soap opera coming ...

As well as declaring he missed the “competitive edge” football had given him since retirement, Ferdinand said part of his motivation for stepping into the ring had been his ongoing grief at losing wife Rebecca Ellison to cancer two years ago.
“It’s something for me to focus on after the last couple of years,” he said. “I’ve been through quite a few things in my life and this is a way of trying to channel that aggression, that anger sometimes, into something I can be really focused on.”
Ellison’s death left Ferdinand a single father to three children, who he indicated were supportive of his potentially-risky new venture.

Oh.
Yeah, if I lost my wife I think beating the crap (legally) out of random people might help.

Everyone cares about Championships, thats why in the Liverpool/Leicester match you might recognize half of the names amongst the starting 22.

Spurs have 15 shots today, none on target and are currently in a goalless draw with Barnsley. Yikes.

strong United team tonight, didn't really expect that. Had hoped for 17 year old Angel Gomes to make the bench, but nope.

These games are a bit of a bind for PL clubs I think. They don't really want to start their full strongest 11 against obviously weaker teams...but then again if you slip-up and lose that's not well received either.

Fergie at the Emirates to watch Darren's team.
Meh, could care less about whatever this cup is called now, particularly in the early stages. Agree with Devo. Give the young uns a run out.

how much less?
good to see Shaw back, hopefully he can stay healthy for a change. Too bad Mourinho changed to 3 in the back, seems to have killed the game.
