Default Fitbit notifications

I don’t know if there is a Fitbit thread, didn’t immediately see one.

My wife just got a Charge 5. We’re having a very annoying time getting the notifications to send to the device. We set them up, they work, then maybe an hour later she’s not getting notifications again. We’ve forgotten the device, deleted and added from the app restarted, etc and gotten it to notify, and then it fails again some time later.

Anyone else have this experience and resolve it permanently? It’s a really annoying problem as I can’t see what we are doing wrong or not setting.

I have a Fitbit and haven’t experienced that. Might there be a Fitbit discussion forum? There’s one for everything else. Sorry I can’t help.

I don’t know this specific model, but we’ve had a few fitbits that can be a little finicky. This might seem silly and obvious, but have you checked for a software update for your device in your Fitbit app?

Looked through the forums and did the steps support suggested in them. It works, it just didn’t persisted yesterday. Software u-dated when we connected it to the app so I think we’re current. Will see how it goes today.

Probably unrelated to your issue, but I had nothing but problems (mostly Bluetooth communication/syncing) with the Fitbit app and an older phone.

Yeah, poor bluetooth/older bluetooth standards and/or putting a phone on low power mode/airplane mode can make activity trackers behave kinda weird.

I have a charge 5 and was constantly having notification problems as well. I just ended up leaving it "broken" so I never get notifications to my fitbit and I actually like it a lot better. I know this doesn't solve your problem, but for me I found no notifications on the wrist was actually better - not once have I really regretted it after about a week of no notifications.
