I dont think Dinosaurs can live in cold environments?
No one really knows, but there are hypotheses that at least some of them were "warm-blooded".
This is all kind of moot anyway, in that in the only clever plot point the Jurassic World sequels have had—one of the arguments Ian Malcolm made in the book "The Lost World"—is that these are not dinosaurs: they're genetically-engineered theme park attractions.
Spoiler!
Malcolm had a couple long, drawn-out arguments in the novel with Richard Levine (a character obviously never translated to any screen adaptation) about this. Levine (a paleontologist who hypothesized that dinosaurs went extinct at least in part because of behavioural changes or a lack thereof) considered "the Lost World" of "Site B" to be a unique opportunity to study dinosaurs in a natural habitat but Malcolm argued it's BS, as their behaviours are not going to be the same as a "real" dinosaur's behaviours: they're not actually dinosaurs, and they're not in a natural habitat. They observe a lot of behaviours that don't make any sense, such as the velociraptors being absolutely rapacious predators that prey on their own young. They don't give a definitively explanation for this, but Malcolm supports his hypothesis that these animals could never be studied in a natural setting by noting that the population is massively imbalanced: there are too many predator animals, and too few prey. The population would eventually be self-extinguishing anyway.
(That, plus the fact the population was infected with a prion disease called "DX", a kind of spongiform encephalopathy like scrapie...)
The Following User Says Thank You to timun For This Useful Post:
Is the basic reason for why there are dinosaurs everywhere that animal rights groups have succeeding in arguing that we shouldn't kill them, as it would be interfering with nature? Society's allowing T-rexes and Velociraptors to attack people out of an obligation to nature?
It would actually make some sense to have rogue dinosaur populations in the Amazon or the Congo. These are massive areas without any human presence, where an animal like a velociraptor could easily hide.
They certainly look to have made a point to showcase how well the dinosaurs are doing in the cold. I guess it looks cool?

I don't expect much from the JP franchise since the original except to watch dinosaurs roam around, eat people, eat each other, maybe the opportunity to laugh at the absurdity of Howard's character running away from a _____saurus in high heels.

But damn do I still love the movies.
Agreed.
The last one wasn't great though IMO. They deviated from the script too much. It was more of a creature horror movie. A genetically engineered combo-dinosaur trapping people in the confines of a house. Not what I want of a JP movie.
Really wasn't what was sold in the trailers either. The emphasis, from the trailers, seemed to be on the dinosaurs getting off the island. Fallen Kingdom was essentially an interlude between the park and the dinosaurs getting off the island, and it was boring.
Seeing the original cast back definitely kicked me right in the nostalgia. They are trying to accomplish so much with this movie though. It's going to be incredible and/or totally non sensical. I still don't get why they are allowing the predators to free roam in cities. Everyone forgot about guns?
But dinosaurs being herded by cowboys on horseback, in the snow.
That's cool s##t.
Unfortunately then it turns into 2 Jurassic 2 Furious.
Why show us the Allan/Ellie reunion?? Dear god Trevorrow, save it for the film. Nostalgia only packs a punch if people have to wait to see it. See: NWH.
Upcoming documentary about veteran Canadian indie-rock band Lowest of the Low.
Shakespeare My Butt is an absolute masterpiece.
Thank you for posting this. It really made my day, at 8:56am.
The first time I met my now wife, was going to a Lowest of The Low show at the Republik with a bunch of mutual friends. #### we got hammer, danced and sang the night away. It was an absolutely phenomenal night with a woman I still don't completely understand, but completely appreciate.
Thank you again, you have stirred up only the best memories.
For me, that distinction goes to House II: The Second Story.
Was watching a youtube video on the "House" series a couple of weeks ago. The first two movies are not connected to each other in any way. Seems like they made House 2, purely for the clever title.
The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
I love how they involve Shazam and Captain Marvel Jr and show how they inspired so much of Elvis look and costumes. This movie is going to be great, it's about time Elvis was brought back into the spotlight again. They don't call him the King for nothing.

meh. He spent more churning out B movies and then being a bloated mess than he did being the king.
The movie will look good and let Tom Hanks chew some scenery, but that's it.
