I think he’s too hard on himself and needs to control that better and redirect it. He’s too negative about his own play, and he’s one of the best players in the league.

But I guess it’s working for him. He’s a player who will continue to improve year after year. He has that fire you mentioned, just like Tkachuk.

We are a spoiled fanbase from Iggy's primetime years, but not every superstar impacts the game in the same way.

Just to note... Iggy and Gaudreau have gotten their teams past the first round tge same number of times. Amazing, sad all at the same time.
That's only true if you're just thinking of Iggy's flames years. He made it out of the first with both Pittsburgh and Boston.

When Tkachuk is over a point a game let me know...I love what he brings to the table but to take a shot at Gaudreau is beyond ridiculous

Gaudreau doesn't get into scrums like Tkachuk? wow shocker he is 150lbs

Tkachuk doesn't pass the puck like Gaudrea

That is the point of a team sport...need all types.

6M/year X 8 years for a talented, passionate winger who still has lots of years of team control remaining. Not as vital a position as Monahan, and not quite as talented or as close to unrestricted free agency as Gaudreau. Make it happen, Treliving!

What do you think Tkachuk tops out point wise?

I’m hopeful for 80 points a season. If not next year, maybe in two. He’s really impressed me with his IQ and he’s commitment to a North south game. 7 years at 5.7 IMO

8 years 44 million or 2 yr 5 million total.

I want him secured well past the end of Monahan and Gaudreau or year tobyear lower cap hits through the Gaudreau window.
