What about Bernie Nicholls in '88-'89 with 70 goals and 150 points? One of only 5 players to ever get that many points in a season.

He was a 2 hit wonder coming in 13th in scoring with 100 pts in 84-85 as well.

I miss Lady Byng Hudler. That guy was awesome with Monahan and Gaudreau...

Nah - as tripin_billie mentions he had a 100 point season, and also had 112, 97, and 95 point seasons...
Maybe you are thinking of Dennis Maruk? But even he had 97 and 90 point seasons to go along with his outlier of 136 points with Washington in 1982.

Len Barrie, Rob Brown, John Cullen all come to mind riding on the wings of Mario Lemieux in his prime.

Who would be the all time Flames one hit wonder. I don't consider Hudler to be it as he was a good player before, just had a single season above norm.
Who is the guy that put together a single strong season and then largely vanished. Is it Lance Bouma?

Yeah that's a pretty good pick. Depth guy except for one year. Not totally a one hit wonder but pretty close.
Nigel Dawes is another. But he wasn't even a one hit wonder. More like a half-a-hit-wonder.

I mean the entire franchise. Two good seasons in the past 30.

I do think Nicholl's deserves a mention. Maybe a little different in that he had a bunch of good seasons and then an amazing year, but 150 was 50% higher than his second highest career year.
Hudler put up multiple 50+ seasons, and his best season was 76 points. A modest 33% higher than his second highest career year (57).
Going to have to retract this. Nicholls was 6th in scoring with 112 points split between teams the next year.
