Barry Trotz lives for another 4 games minimum.

7 games maximum.

Capitals winning in R1, then realizing they face the Pens next:

Rick Nash has been invisible, he's been bad in the playoffs for many years.

Great series by the Caps. Is this the year where they finally break the Penguins curse?

The Bruins are not a very deep team, both up front and on defense. They shot their load in the first period with double shifting the top lines.

They would look a lot better with Seguin and Hamilton.

Maybe.
The Pens definitely look beatable this year. If Philly had better goal tending, it would have been a longer series.

Toronto, wow. Totally outplayed but Andersen stealing them the game. Love it actually. Would love to see the big bad Bruins go down.

It will be interesting to see how much he commands on the open market. He's declining fast and isn't far away from being finished IMO.

I would expect a Vanek level contract (~$2/year, but maybe 2-3 years instead of 1)

Given today's tragic events, I imagine the Leafs are motivated to help heal a heartbroken city.

No. No you can't. He is a Leaf. And will be a Leaf for a while. Don't know why they would trade him unless the entire front office experiences severe brain damage some how.

Calling Andersen elbowed in the face a dive? Ha!

Goddamn right the refs called the slightest contact on Kadri because they knew they were morons giving an even-up penalty to Polak on that play.

Ok I go elbow your goalie in the face and then when the players of that team's goalie come and shove me a bit you are going to call it a roughing? 4 on 4? What a joke. Polak barely even touched him.

PS.

They need a right shot second-pairing-quality defenseman who can actually defend. It's an obvious, gaping hole in the lineup. So unless you want to trade Liljegren for a guy further along the development track, you'll have to give up something of real value. Kapanen would be less of a loss than trading Nylander, at least.

First: But why the Flames? You don't have what the Leafs need. They need a steady guy. Not interested in anyone you have.

Second: No. Keep dreaming. He's not going anywhere. Babcock loves the guy. He PKs like a champ, speed to burn, has an edge to him. He isn't getting traded.
