Yeah, why not? Let's do it again. It's time for our annual awards, presented by myself, TheScorpion (Islanders GM), for the second year now!
Here are the awards up for grabs. I've decided to shorten up the number of player-focused awards in favour of a couple more GM-oriented awards.
The Cliff Fletcher Award: presented to the league's best General Manager in 2017-18.
The Doug Risebrough Award: presented to the General Manager determined to have made the worst trade(s) over the course of the 2017-18 season.
The D'Arcy McGrath Award: presented to the General Manager adjudged to be the best message board poster.
The Darryl Sutter Award: presented to the league's best rookie General Manager.
The Lanny McDonald Award: presented to the player deemed to be the Calgarypuck Hockey League's MVP.
The Gary Suter Award: presented to the Calgarypuck Hockey League's best defenseman.
The Mike Vernon Award: presented to the Calgarypuck Hockey League's best goaltender.
In addition, as mentioned, I have decided to create a couple of new awards this season.
The George McPhee Award: presented to the GM of the Calgarypuck Hockey League's most surprising team.
The Peter Chiarelli Award: presented to the GM of the Calgarypuck Hockey League's most disappointing team.
Ballot info will be posted shortly -- it will not be as confusing as last year's. Happy offseason!

OK people let's get this ball rolling. I finally just finished my last high school course so I actually have time for this
I'm not going to bother making a set ballot this year. Instead, I'm going to let you guys do a tiny bit of investigating the leading scoring tables and the standings. Since we aren't doing the most overpaid award and stuff like that, I don't need to provide you with examples of overpaid players, so the information required to vote should be easily accessible on the CPHL website.
Please submit your ballots by PM this year. (They weren't anonymous last year either.) Just PM me with your top 3 for each award and I'll sort out the points. 5 points for 1st place, 3 for 2nd place, and 1 for 3rd place. I'll be making a ballot as well.
Consider GMs from last year -- so guys like Unlucky Puck for Detroit, Manwiches from the Rangers, et cetera, if you wish.
Please try to submit your ballots as soon as possible. Let's say... by July 8th at the very latest, but it shouldn't take that long. I'll have results for you soon after I get the last ballot.

One more thing I forgot to mention. GMs not in the league last year are exempt from all this unless they wish to submit a ballot. This applies to Florida, Detroit, and NYR.
