Hah, that's remarkably accurate.
Anyone else think the Leafs would have put up more of a fight? I mean, I still think they would have lost, but it would've been a lot more fun.

Subjectively, they would’ve been swept. Tampa is just an extremely good team top to bottom.

Glad Boston is done and now hoping Tampa is bounced. #### the lightening and their bullcrap ill-gotten game 6 win where there was a clear tripping setting up the game winner.

They have a few depth holes. I think it would have gone 6, .myself. the Lefs need right D, and a lot depends on Andersen being a .915 or better tendy, but I just think the Leafs four line forward depth and skating matches up better with the Bolts. Would have been end to end good times. Ah well.

Tampa looked like the fresher team (and they played very well after game 1) but man it’s amazing how different this series could look if that tying goal in game 4 hadn’t counted and Kucherov got a penalty.
2-2 turned to 3-1 just like that and it was over.

The loss of Brandon Carlo was a massive loss for Boston. Big defenseman who logged nearly 20 minutes a night.

Never acceptable to see Tampa find success. Here's hoping they get absolutely stomped next round

This team is the real deal. I can't see the pens or caps being a threat to them.

^ The Penguins can beat anyone. They are a threat to everyone. The caps... depends on Holtby and the power play.

People always say this but after round 1 there are almost never any gimmies.
Even the round 1 "gimmies" are often well fought.

It's good that d-bag Marchand will be golfing, just like Kesler.

My buddy married Brad Marchand's cousin. Yesterday was their sons first birthday so I was there with a couple of Brad's family members. They were talking about how the lick was kinda bad but not... you know, Sean Avery bad or anything like that.

That no-call on the tying goal in game 4 pretty well ended the series. It's a real shame when the officials have a hand in the result of a series but it happens. That said the injuries were beginning to pile up for the Bruins and they hurt themselves by not finishing off the Leafs in 5 or 6 games.

Agreed, and on that point I continue to go back to Marchand's deplorable behaviour in that game. Were the officials responding in-game to a situation they were uncertain about how to address?
I think Marchand had a significant role in costing the Bruins Game #4.

It's a bummer the Bruins couldn't pull it out. I just can't stand hearing that "Tampa Bay is making another run for its second Stanley Cup." No, no, no, they didn't win it in 2004. The puck crossed the line.
