Default 5 years ago today - The Bat Flip

5 years have passed since the most important, memorable, emotional, and downright legendary Blue Jays moment of the past 27 years.

The more removed from this moment we get, the more I realize how truly once in a lifetime this likely was.

Still is and may always be my favorite sporting moment. There is so much more depth to this moment then simply a homerun. Those who know, know.

Craziest baseball game I have ever seen, and probably will ever see. That home run still gives me chills. Loved that 2015 roster and still hate the Royals and that bearded leprechaun Royals fan.

What a moment. It’s still incredible to watch.

I don't think I'll ever watch another inning like that in my lifetime:

1) Jays had just tied it up in the bottom of the 6th
2) Odor scores when Martin hits Choo in the hand while throwing the ball back to the mound - the run was originally waved off and then changed after a long review
3) Boos and Beers come raining down
4) Texas has 3 errors in a row leading to the Jays loading the bases
5) Odor drops a pop up that was close to being ruled an infield fly allowing the Jays to tie it
6) Bautista launches the infamous home run
7) Benches clear and more beers come in
8) Final outs are recorded, Dyson and Tulo get into it and based clear again
9) More beers come in?

Lasted fifty-three minutes. What an inning.

An iconic moment to be sure.

Can't imagine what it would have been like to witness it in person.

Sports!

I started that inning relatively sober, complete runaway during and after.

I remember being in a meeting and coming back right after the Martin error. Me and my co-worker beside me didn't get much work done until the game was over.

I’d love to see a SB Rewinder on this. Until then the Bautista/Odor beef history will do.
