Great idea, why wait for tickets to go on sale. Know any good hotels close to the rink?

I'm a marriott bonvoy member. I just booked free on points. I love the Sheraton grand dt. Nice indoor pool and close to everything.
We will just jump on the clipper ferry from the island and walk to the hotel if it's not pissing rain lol.
The hotels on Lake union are also great and close to the rink.

It's interesting that they baked the Olympic break into the schedule as announced. They must feel there's a good chance it will be happening for them to release it that way.
If it doesn't happen, they'll likely just bump the last couple of weeks worth of games into the February gap.

They said they have an alternate schedule in place if the Olympics are a no go.

Yes, but that it will preserve as much of this schedule as possible to allow people to make plans for going to games.

Yeah, that's odd.
It looks like when the eastern teams come out west, they all play Calgary on a Thursday, with one of the other western teams a couple nights later for HNIC. It's also weird that when the Flames make their one trip to eastern Canada, they play Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, with not Saturday game.
3 of 4 games against both the Oilers and Canucks are on HNIC though. Only 1 of 3 against Winnipeg is.

Totally unrelated to the flames, but the islanders start their first 13 games on the road?! Going to be a tough start for them before they get into their new building.

Anyone seen the rate for resale tickets in Seattle?
Was thinking of going for the Dec 30 game, but sheesh! (lowest pair currently seems to be $332 each)

Is playoff format 3 per division plus 2 wildcard?
We do pretty well only having to play LVK thrice. LAK are also likely better than ANA and SJ.
3 LVK
3 LAK
3 SEA
4 SJ
4 ANA
4 VAN
4 EDM
=25
3 vs. CEN = 24+32 out conf+25 above=81
I must be missing a game somewhere...?

They play 4 against Seattle. 2 around the Christmas break and 2 in mid-April.

Their team name is still listed as 'TBD' in google for some reason along with all of the game times, so I can see how I missed it!
Only 3 vs. LVK and LAK is a great outcome.
Oilers play LVK 4 times and only get the lame Ducks and probably easy Kraken thrice each.
Canucks have 4 against Vegas, 3 of which will happen in April. 3 against LAK and SJS.
I hate imbalanced schedules, but at least it's in our favour this year.

How about the rested/untested stuff this year. Are the Oilers still tips in playing tired teams like usual?
