Our dedicated reporter ChaCha Ice caught up with LA Open finalist OffsideSpecialist as he was prepareing for the 2nd half of the Final.
Name : OffsideSpecialist
Age : 20
City/Country : Ottawa ON
How did you choose your username?:
I chose my username because I always tend to go offside when I play hockey somehow.
1. You are in a Grand slam final, what preparations are you making down by 2 games against devo22?
As far as preparations go, I think I just have to stick to my game plan. Things did not as well as I anticipated last night, but other than that I think I have had a very good tournament. With some practice today, I think I should be able to overcome my deficit for the second part of the finals. I have come back from similar deficits, but not on such a large stage. I just need to keep myself focused and work hard out there.
2. Why did you start playing HPT? Which things you like and dislike in HPT and do you have any suggestions to improve the tour?
I started playing HPT because it seemed like it would something fun to take part in, and I was right. I like that it is fairly simple and doesn't require tons of dedication as far as time is concerned, as I am a fairly busy person. I just wish more people would join in some of the tournaments!
3. What are your goals as the season winds down to the year-end?
My goal is to finish at the top of the HPT rankings. It will be quite a challenge, especially with a great guy and top notch prognosticator in PlayfulGenius at the top right now. Regardless, I think I can finish at the top if I work hard for these last couple of weeks.
4. Los Angeles is known for being the center of movie making, have you seen any movie stars in the last 2 weeks here? If you had the choice, who would you like to meet?
I might have seen some movie stars, to be quite honest I wouldn't even recognize most of them if they were to run into me! I think I would like to meet Megan Fox, for obvious reasons. Or else Nicholas Cage, so I could punch him in the face.
Thank you for you time and good luck tonight, OffsideSpecialist!
