They're actually better now than they used to be. At least now you can at least tell it's a restaurant, before it was just all beautiful people. Now they at least show food.

Yeah I used to think Moxies commercials were awareness adds for sexual diseases. Now at least we know there's food involved.

Penelope Cruz.

The TSN Play of the Year commercials are terrible and are shown during every commercial break.

I'm actually surprised she would do a commercial of this level. Seems odd for a hollywood actress.

Mr. Niedermair declined to comment specifically on budgets, though he said the plan is to "increase advertising pressure in primetime" for the spots featuring Ms. Cruz. In the first nine months of the year, Nespresso spent $12 million on measured media, according to Kantar. In 2011, the brand spent just $40,000 on measured media. Interpublic's Martin Agency handles creative for the brand.

It's also a ripoff of the episode of the Simpsons where Homer and Apu travel to Kwik-E-Mart headquarters.

Quote:
Apu: He is the benevolent and enlightened president and C.E.O. of
Kwik-E-Mart -- and in Ohio, Stop-O-Mart. He is the one we must
ask for my job back.
Master: Approach, my sons. [they do] You may ask me three questions.
Apu: That's great, because all I need is one --
Homer: Are you _really_ the head of the Kwik-E-Mart?
Master: Yes.
Homer: Really?
Master: Yes.
Homer: You?
Master: Yes. I hope this has been enlightening for you.
Apu: But I must --
Master: Thank you, come again.
Apu: But --
Master: Thank you, come again.

Oh yeah, speaking of the Simpsons; Anyone else notice that every stupid company and their dog is doing a variation of the lie detector bit from the Simpsons?

Telus for one. Like what do they think? "Hey everyone know that awesome bit from the Simpsons? Oh everyone in the room, awesome, yeah it's hilarious right? Well, it was like 20 years ago now, so surely the general public won't remember it and know we're stealing it. So let's just do a watered down, unfunny version of it and call it a day!".

Nespresso is a relatively higher-end brand in the capsule-coffee space, and has a pretty big international presence (They have their own boutique shop in a lot of the bigger cities around the world). Penelope Cruz seems like the perfect representative for them.

I think it's a labour standards board or something, but the commercial where they're carrying popsicles with writing on them. Why the popsicles?

There is a new radio spot with that 900 year old Egg McMuffin guy. That fool needs some voice acting lessons.

That meme is probably much older than the Simpsons.

Old legends with three wishes, riddles, etc.

Would people really gather to watch a girl on a pedestal, wave her iPhone around in the air?

Maybe if she was naked and there was another girl there as well.

She is playing a frekin' violin, and she thinks she is the next Yo Yo Ma.

Maybe I can go audition for the CPO and tell them my instrument is an iPad...

It drives me crazy every time I see it. Especially how they're all randomly spaced around the room.

Would people really gather around waiting for the chance to ask Penelope Cruz three questions?

Came in here to say I absolutely despise that Apple commerical. Hate the song in there there. My cousins and I were saying the same thing about the Asian chick waving the phone around.
