Blackwood has been lights out, but Jersey is rolling out an AHL group of skaters due to injury lately. Some of those guys may be back. Should be an easy win for the Flames, but we will likely not get any help from their goaltending.

Blackwood is 6-7 2.23 & .932 in 16 appearances

The Devils are 8-23-3 on the road. They have lost their last 4 road games, scoring a total of 4 goals. They have 1 regulation road win in 2019 (though it was against PIT)

Sportselect Info
Flames Win = 1.4
Devils Win = 4.25
OT = 4.4
Over 6.5 = 1.95
Under 6.5 = 1.5

Devils icing an injury depleted lineup but a goalie who is playing well. Flames need to build off last game and get a couple early ones by Blackwood or risk him stealing the game away from them. If they score first I think they cruise to an easy win as there is little offensive danger in the lineup for the Devils these days. 4-1 Flames (with an ENG).

Also hoping the Jets help us out on the OOT scoreboard.

He's been good of late too, but I think if I had the choice I would rather face Schneider.

My son is a huge Devils fan, but he has fully embraced the tank so it should be fairly friendly tonight at my house.

Plus, he's a closet Flames fan though he will never admit it!

Blackwood sounds like an evil magician. This should be a good game for the 1st line to get their play going again.

We're gonna need every point we can in the battle with SJS for the top spot. Monstrous difference between 1st and 2nd in Pacific for playoff matchups.

I agree 100%. Although there’s is quite a few here that believe Vegas will be a walk in the park in a playoff match up

Last time I wished for her, I was completely disappointed and we ended up with Chris Farley... Careful what you wish for, lol.

Such hyperbole.

There is a gigantic difference between being unconcerned about facing VGK in the playoffs, and believing this match will be a “walk in the park.”

The Knights are not scary. That does not mean that the Flames will not break a sweat in beating them. Quite to the contrary, I see this as potentially a tightly contested and entertaining series, but I also think the Flames emerge victorious.

Bit of an exaggeration, I'd say. Mostly there have been people who said Calgary has the better team, and better home/away record so they aren't fretting about Vegas despite their recent run, like some others are. No one has said anything like "walk in the park".

The phrase I like to use is “close but clear”

As in, the series will likely be close but (I think) it’s clear that the Flames have the best chance to win.

IMO goaltending is the only reason it's as close as it is. Otherwise the Flames have a much superior team top to bottom.
