Edmonton wins it... it's been so long since their last first overall pick and they have just two players to show for their last 4 picks. (Ok... three... Larsson)... Edmonton can't pick past the top 10... when they do, they don't amount to anything... they need it.

2nd paring defenceman with 3rd paring potential.

It would be comical for Edmonton to win it again and continue to suck.
Then watch Grandpa Bob feebly blame the water for their problems.

Buffalo of course.
Jack and Jack running shop as American 1-2 center punch? Would be pretty nice.

Just ran Tankathon once, and the Oilers won. I quit.

I ran the tankathon sim 20 times. Colarado was in the top 3 90% of the time either through the Ottawa pick or their own. I think they're getting better won way or the other next draft.
Meh, I have a hard time hating them.

My priorities
East, doesn't matter who.
If west wins one of the spots please go to the central.
If the pacific wins one, please go to Edmonton as they will either ruin whichever guy they get or their team will still be so broken that it won't matter anyway.
After that, it doesn't really matter much between the other Pacific teams.

Edmonton so we can hear the classic "wait til next season". Then we all can have a happy christmas as the no goods once again disappear from this forum.

Will never hope that the Oilers or Canucks win a draft lottery. As many who think it may be funny, Draisaitl and McDavid are legitimately elite and a couple good wingers could turn this team into a dominant force. I'm cheering that they win enough to get to 9th place in the West and Canucks 10th. Get potentially the worst draft pick possible while still missing the playoffs.

You're not wrong there, but I'm tired of the seeing the same old teams spin their wheels while consistently picking up top talent. It's part of the reason why it's nice to see Arizona making such a push this year.

I'm cheering for eastern teams that rarely finish at the bottom of the standings.
Detroit, NY Rangers for sure.
Maybe New Jersey for the next one.

But we'll hear that anyway, we don't need them to win the lottery for that to happen.
How about they miss the playoffs, then lose the lottery, then extend KG? The fans will still pump out the "wait until next year" just as loudly.

You'd have to add a lot more than Jankowski to not get your phone number blocked by whichever GM has that pick.

I'll go with Rangers because my GF is a fan. But also, yeah, they never get a top pick. Detroit can suck it, they've had enough success.
Wouldn't mind Philly either.
