Default Draft Lottery: Who do we cheer for?

Here's the current (as of March 11) lottery rankings:
Spoiler!

Who are we inverse-cheering for down the stretch? I know it would be funny to see Colorado get Hughes with Ottawa's pick, but I don't think we actually want Hughes in Colorado. What's the best-case scenario for the Flames? Detroit? New Jersey?

Detroit or New Jersey for the Flames, Colorado for the Lulz.

It would be nice to see teams in the Top 3 that are traditionally not there. I am getting tired of the same crap teams picking up young players every year then not doing anything with them (Florida, Edmonton, Buffalo).

I would be okay if Detroit wins it.

Detroit, NJ, NYR works for me. As long as it is three East teams not named Ottawa it is good.

How do you figure Ottawa wins it without having their pick?

Anyway, I'm hoping for Detroit. That team would be scary as hell with Larkin, Mantha, Zadina, Bertuzzi, Athanasiou, and one of Hughes/Kakko.

Also, worth noting that Detroit currently has the rare 420/69 dualfecta.

I was referring to the Ottawa pick obviously.

Detroit and Rangers. Those teams never have top 3 picks, I think they'd deserve one at some point. Them being East teams is an added bonus.

I was also going to say the Rangers but screw them. They don't get Top 3 picks but they are also very lucky that almost every single UFA wants to sign with them. I think that luck washes out the lack of top 3 picks.

It would also be funny to watch the Oilers win again. Then we can look forward to the Oilers being claimed as cup contenders in the off-season only to be out of it by December.

Boy 6% chance for the Oilers is pretty scary knowing they are the best in the business when it comes to having their lottery balls come up.

It would suck, but also be kind of epic if Colorado wins both 1 and 2.

I wouldn’t hate it if Vancouver won, I miss having a legit rivalry.

It would be, until we would have to play against them.

Landeskog - MacKinnon - Rantanen
X - Hughes - Kakko

That would be lethal.

Meh, it could be scary. Or it can be a tire fire just like the Oilers in the past.

if the Oilers drafted the existing Colorado core, MacKinnon would be a 50 point 2nd/3rd line centre and Rantanen would be on his way back to Finland after spending the past 4 years bouncing up and down from the minors, getting 6 minutes a night on their 4th line, and eating 90 pounds of popcorn in the stands.
