It's concerning for the Hurricanes' depth if he's centering the 3rd line. The guy is a 4th liner at best. This is probably why they are a middling team even though they have some very good players. Aho is one of my favorite young forwards in the game and that defense is very strong.
Also...goaltending...not good.

A Calgary win tonight will put us;
5 points behind Tampa Bay in 1st place
7 points above Winnipeg in 3rd place (or 6 above San Jose but Go Washington!!) .

Going to the game tonight. I am undefeated this season (I think) so hoping for another win.
Also hoping Bennett crushes both Hamilton and Ferland. Don't want either back but won't boo them either.

Have had this game circled on the calendar for months. Couldn't have predicted how things have transpired in the meantime.
Flames win 4-2. Gaudreau, Lindholm, Hanifin and Ryan (EN) for the Flames. Ferland and McKegg for Carolina (McKegg inadvertently gloves it in, but he refs rule there is no kicking motion).
P.S. I fully expect Dougie will receive a warm ovation after their "welcome back" video. That said, I hope we boo him lustily whenever he touches the puck. Not because we hate him, but because he plays for the enemy.

A chance to open an 8 point lead in the Pacific before the All-Star break, finish strong boys, then enjoy your break!

The Flames beat Carolina 4-1 on 14 January 2018 in their last game heading into their five-day break. It was their seventh straight win.

He's talking about the most recent Christmas break. The game against the Blues I believe.

Boomer and Tyler talking on NHL radio that with a win tonight the Flames could be as much as 8 points up on the 2nd place Sharks.
They're almost conceding 1st place to the Flames.
They cautioned there's a long way to go but man it's nice to hear that kind of talk.

Had drinks with a Hurricane player last night. A lots of guys on that team want to stick it to Peters. He called it 'Their Stanley Cup'. I expect them to come out flying. Not going to be an easy game.
