Default Calgary's best nachos?

Heard the boys on the fan talking about doing something like this so let's hear them. Who has the best nachos in the city? I find it pretty hard to beat original joes nachos with extra cheese and beef. Yum!

+1 for Original Joe's Red Tractor nachos. Extra cheese, extra beef, and you've got a plate of nachos that will blow your mind and be amazingly difficult to finish.

Honourable mention to the Station Pub in Riverbend. Not quite the same standard as the OJ's ones, but still pretty damn impressive.

I haven't had them for a while but I remember the Keg having decent nachos. Not as good as OJs though...

Any Nacho Nerds Here?

I think Fergus & Bix has the best Nachos.
Best value for your money too.
I ordered the small size and had a hard time finishing it with 3 people.

Never had Original Joe's so I can't compare, but The Last Straw in Tuscany has decent ones. Huge portion for the "small" size, would be enough for 3 for sure.

Side note...why do some joints think it's ok to place chilli consistency meat on nachos and make my chips soggy?

I am a nacho purist. Do not want meat/pork/chicken on my nachos, just want cheese, jalapenos, onion, black olives. Sides of sour cream, salsa, and gucamole.

The Kilt used to have good nachos as did the Rose.

Beware of the nachos at the Tilted Kilt. I had them in Mesa and they put refried beans on them. This turns the chips into a soggy mess, and the end result was the most unappetizing thing I have laid eyes on in sometime. It was so bad, you couldn't even pick around it.

I have always thought the nachos at the chateau lake Louise are some kind of awesome. A little more pricy though cause you are at the chateau.

It has to start with freshly made guacamole.

Nachos are hard to order for a group, because everyone is picky about one or two items normally found on nachos. You end up with chips and a side of salsa.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of the ones at the Kilt and Caber. I'd vote that for sure.

Magpie and Stump in Banff has the most amazing salsa. Its too bad they don't make nachos.

Pig and Duke used to put steak on their nacho's, they don't anymore.

Has the Station changed their nachos? They used to really suck 2 years ago last time I had them

'Dome nachos hold a special place in my heart. They would be my #1 fast food type nacho.

Have the echo the Original Joe's Red Tractor nominations for restaurant nachos. Really tasty. In fact, I really like all of the food I've had at OJ's. Awesome place to eat.

Bottlescrew Bill's has some great salsa verde with theirs, and pretty good nachos in general.
For something different, Sam's in Kensington has potato nachos. So freaking amazing!
