Ducks win another one...this is why I don't bother with strength of schedule
Some of the best last 10 records are non playoff teams

Sharks and flames are the class of the west.
They've beat up on Nashville and Winnipeg in the head to heads as well as in points. Central doesn't have quite the same top end this season.

I'd love nothing more than to see a pissed off Devils team go into Mulletville tomorrow night and lay the boots to the Oilers. They were thoroughly embarrassed in that 3rd period tonight. I'll bet they come out flying tomorrow and frustrate the hell out of Team McLotteryball.

As much as I'd love to see it NJ is Ripe for the picking right now. But that would be absolute bliss!

In Spector's Article about tonight's game between the Jets and the Sharks, he couldn't help but to mention the Oilers - what the hell do the Oilers have to do with this game between the Jets and Sharks?
"In a place like Edmonton, where the culture has been lost, they’ve tried to import it from outside, tapping Boston for players like Andrew Ference and Milan Lucic. It doesn’t work, they’ve learned, and even though it takes time they’ve figured out that it is better to allow Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Darnell Nurse and the rest of the young core to build their own culture, the way they did in San Jose so long ago."

Lol what does a team like San Jose, that has turned over core players and is still always in the playoffs have anything to do with the Oilers? Their culture is that they usually ice a team that doesn't suck.

Yeah, like allowing Hall, Eberle and Nuge to guild the culture worked great. And, SJ got their "culture" guy, Thornton, from freakin' Boston (and not that young either). Also imported Burns, Karlsson, Kane, etc.

Really?
First of all, outside of McDavid and Draisaitl that's not much of a young core. Even though Edmonton fans gush over Nurse, he's pretty much meh.
Second of all, if you're using two players who are pretty much one way players to build a culture of accountability, you're doing it wrong.

Wow, Ben Bishop has 3 consecutive SHUTOUTS. He stopped all 35 shots in Stars 2-0 win over the Sabres. He also has the Sabres number this season as Bishop shutout Buffalo back on Jan. 30 in a 1-0 win. Roope Hintz scored both of the Stars goals in the 2nd period.
The Coyotes are in a playoff spot now as they beat the Blues 3-1. Kuemper made 39 saves and was 1:11 away from getting a shutout when Schwartz scored a PPG. The loss has the Blues only 2 points up on the Stars.
The Ducks were the spoilers but nearly blew it as they defeated the Predators 3-2 in reg time. Anaheim had a 3-0 lead with under 6 minutes left in the 3rd period. Forsberg scored 2 PPGs in a minute to close the gap, but, it wasn't enough.
The BJs had a 5-1 lead on the Bruins and almost let that disappear as the Bruins scored 3 goals in 5.5 minutes in the 2nd period to make it 5-4. The BJs went on to win 7-4 Jenner with a hat trick, Werenski and Anderson had 4 points each as Columbus is in 8th place.
