Well I've had a few cracks at it now and here are some first impressions:
The machine works pretty well. A LOT of pulp doesn't get to the pulp bin but stays up in the top of the machine. Doesn't seem to affect anything it's just a mild irritation. It would be more of a problem if the machine wasn't so darn easy to clean! It couldn't be easier!
The book says not to juice bananas or avocados. I was a little disappointed as I had hoped to incorporate both. Oh well, have to do those the old fashioned way I suppose. Tomatoes didn't seem to go through the machine very well either. I only tried it once so I'll have to give them another whirl (pun absolutely intended). The ones I had seemed pretty over-ripe and soft which may not have helped.
You have to put a crap-load of things like spinach, collard greens, etc. to get any sort of juice but things like carrots, cucumber and celery are pretty impressive with what you get from them!
Don't add too much lemon! I made one Sunday morning and chucked a half lemon in there (rind and all) and my cheeks may have touched each other! Good Christ was it tart!
Have not really used any recipes yet. I've just been throwing in random stuff to see how it turns out. I just added a little water to the lemon one and it was ok. I had another one with what I thought was a small piece of ginger but it was pretty strong too. I like ginger so I've done it again with smaller amounts and it's great. I really haven't made a terrible one yet. Tonight's had a lot of leafy greens in it and though I did a half-ass job of washing them it did taste a bit like dirt; drinkable but there was a definite soil undertone.
Beets are awesome!
Overall I'm pretty happy with the machine and what I've got out of it so far. It's quiet, works well and the best thing is, again, the cleanup!

Well I really got on board with this juicing thing. Today is day four of my five day "juice cleanse". I've had nothing but juice (three times a day), tons of water, almond milk at lunch and hemp milk at supper. I've been calling it my Attiwapiskat hunger strike!
It's been a bit of a shock! I try and eat healthy but I'm more of a chicken wings and beer guy by nature. Can't be so bad though as I was only going to do a three day and on day three I decided to stick it out for a couple more.
Here's my breakfast today:
It was delicious! There was another half a glass to that. I've been going fruit-heavy for breakfast and a little more veggie for lunch and supper. The more fruit the better it tastes but I don't mind the veggie ones. I still have not used a recipe and I still have not had an undrinkable concoction.
It's been pretty cool actually.

Yeah, that's the plan. Do a cleanse as kind of a kick-start and then stick to healthier eating from there on out.
The juicer is working great. Even tomatoes work fine, I just had the problem that one time.
What do you do with the pulp? Freeze it or does it stay ok in the fridge in a container or ziplock bag? I was late for work yesterday so I made my breakfast and lunch and didn't clean the machine. After work when I got home there was already white fuzzies in the pulp and did it ever stink!

Most fruit and veggie pulp doesn't freeze well...but I'm sure you could. Just plan in advance.

It felt pretty good. I was definitely hungry at points but it was interesting to deal with. Without going into the gory details my system did really seem to clean out! More interestingly my "evacuation" system seems to be working better now even after having gone back to "real" food, though I am still eating very healthy and having a juice a day.
I have mild psoriasis and the couple of spots I had cleared up almost completely during the five days.
I weighed myself after and lost exactly three pounds. I was a little surprised at only losing that as I didn't cheat at all. My point for doing it wasn't really weight loss but I was hoping for a little bit. I guess three pounds isn't bad in five days but I admit I had expected a little more, even if it was just water weight that came right back.
I'll see how things go. I may do another one in the near future. I find it kind of fun to experiment with stuff like this.

I predict this will quickly become the largest, most awkward paper weight you own.

Did a 5 day juice fast. While I felt great, just couldn't get out of the bathroom. Not great at work. I wanted to do 10 days, but just couldn't make it. I certainly did feel good otherwise though and had nothing but juice. A 3 day juice fast seems to be about the best length IMO.

Be careful with fruit juice or alot of fruits in general. Its a bit deceptive as there are alot of sugars in them which can defeat the purpose if the goal is weight loss.
Most veg should be fine though.

Yep. I used to have a fruit juice in the morning and then throughout the rest of the day it was all veggies with maybe an apple thrown in. Fruit juice is full of sugar. Even though its natural, it is not good for you to have too much.
