Yeah, considering all the money they cost businesses and real truckers with their stupid blockade, no sympathy.

I actually like the idea of them spending their time out searching in dumps.

It's probably the best thing they could do with their time. Police should drop them clues about where they might be, send them on snipe hunts.

He's not allowed to even talk to Freedom George, so I suspect he breaches the conditions in about 12 minutes.

Ummm, what's the point? Just trying to make as many people mad?

Pisses off Canadians by draping the most sacred of monuments with an American flag. Pisses of Americans by having their flag touch the ground.

That's an actual tomb. On top of being a monument and memorial as well.

#### this guy, seriously.

Even the most pacifist person would know you shouldn't do that to a grave, much less the tomb of the unknown.

At some point we need to take the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier seriously and control access to it. It is one thing the US does very very well.

Allow the public to see it, but they don't need to touch it.

I suggest a tastefully designed wrought iron fence topped with covid vaccine needles.

I don’t think that it is possible to control access to it given the location in proximity to the war memorial. I like the fact that any time I go to Ottawa I am able to freely walk up to the Tomb and memorial in order to pay my respects. I also don’t understand why people would want to use it for political/protest purposes considering it is absolutely apolitical on its face.

Because gaslighting groups are equating their own selfish causes to that of the ultimate sacrifice made by people with real issues of freedom, democracy, and human rights.

The struggle, as it would be to their warped version of reality, is 'real'.

I know you're being obtuse, but it will come down to whether they define this as an "indignity to a dead human body or human remains, whether buried or not".

https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/...ction-182.html

Although I would imagine this would more aptly apply to the situation:

Quote:
1. Section 430 of the Criminal Code is amended by adding the following after subsection (4.1):

Marginal note:Mischief relating to war memorials
(4.11) Everyone who commits mischief in relation to property that is a building, structure or part thereof that primarily serves as a monument to honour persons who were killed or died as a consequence of a war, including a war memorial or cenotaph, or an object associated with honouring or remembering those persons that is located in or on the grounds of such a building or structure, or a cemetery is guilty of an indictable offence or an offence punishable on summary conviction and is liable,

(a) whether the offence is prosecuted by indictment or punishable on summary conviction, to the following minimum punishment, namely,

(i) for a first offence, to a fine of not less than $1,000,

(ii) for a second offence, to imprisonment for not less than 14 days, and

(iii) for each subsequent offence, to imprisonment for not less than 30 days;

(b) if the offence is prosecuted by indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years; and

(c) if the offence is punishable on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 18 months.

The Minister of National Defence has come out and labeled it desecration.

If I recall, the lady that danced on the tomb was let off the hook because she seemed genuinely remorseful. This seems like a much more purposeful act so we'll see what happens.

I posted about it somewhere, but I had someone email me a link to her website and I remember wondering who would take the effort to make such an elaborate joke until...

"Oh wait...you're serious??"
